Haha, yes all, as long as no personal attacks/violation of rules. after all, we’re not about censoring viewpoints.
Thinking of F1 career stats as I’m suffering from F1 withdrawal this weekend stuck watching Olympics. I’ve argued that Lewis winning race 100 is more significant to me then winning an 8th title, as I just like being able to say LH has 100 wins and More than 100 poles as a nice set of round numbers. So with nothing but time on our hands it occurred to me that Lewis has 200 (101 poles/ 99 wins) career wins & poles in F1. Wondering what the rest of the multi champion winners have when you combine poles and wins into one stat? ( MS 159 over 306 starts) PS before someone says it’s the car, save your breath, Lewis went to MB while it was still a struggling team the MS couldn’t turn into a winning team, Lewis took a chance and it happened on his watch which is what it’s all about, choices made in building one’s career in F1
That’s not true, when Lewis joined Mercedes in 2013, the team’s foundations had been under construction for four years. The hybrid engine ready for many years to attack the 2014 season. FIA people say that in 2013, when the teams gave them the approximate power figures of the future power units, the Mercedes power unit was 100hp more powerful than the Ferrari and the Renault Power unit. Lewis is a great driver but no need to rewrite history to demonstrate something.
Yep. In 2012 Merc was developing 3 cars, the 2012, 13 and 14 cars. Michael was instrumental in the success of the team with Ross Brawn. However, he was at the age he couldn't be a long term player to reap the successes any longer. Lewis went to Merc as Merc was the Mclaren was the Mercedes #1 team for so long, when Lewis joined Mclaren (before 2007), it was all Merc money. Lauda explained the picture to Lewis quite clearly that Mercedes was outspending Mclaren (and anyone else) by a big factor, the people they had, state of the art everything, Ross Brawn and Michael structured team...and support for Mclaren was going to disappear completely. Mercedes factory support simply went from Mclaren to their own team. Add to the fact that Button wasn't going anywhere and was a rather large thorn in Lewis' side, Mercedes willing to pay lewis 4x as much as Ron Dennis was offering (a reduction he was offered!), well it made for a pretty compelling argument. It definitely wasn't a Schumacher to Ferrari style story.

When I hear the guys on sky I totally see it… still I prefer ham over Verstappen but I also prefer Alonso above both for some reasons Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Was going to post this. I thought Mr Hypocrite Hamilton said he was not driving ICE cars anymore and was fighting pollution. I guess not so much right. After all, how many private plane trips does he take per year? 40? Typical virtue signaling *******.
Michaels development of the MBZ car directly benefitted both Hamilton and Rosberg. It’s Michaels insistence on the wheelbase that changed the cars behavior for ever. It was a similar design philosophy he used assisting on the Ferrari.

How dare he dislike Hamilton for being unlikeable! I think there's something else at play here, but I can't say it because I'll be banned.
I love Jeremy, going to have to side with him on this. My respect post was about his driving. I’m sure he is a nice enough guy, but the man does try too much too often that he is not very credible ! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Lewis:” that’s why I went to karate because I used to get bullied all the time”- comparing his mindset/explaining it under the helmet. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Some dislike him. Some hate him so much they can barely contain it. When you're obsessed with and interpret everything someone does as having the absolute worst motives possible, it's not just 'dislike.'
Except, given Clarkson's chequered past, I wouldn't actually put that past him. He's entertaining, but an arsewipe. Clarkson, I mean. I wanted to avoid confusion since many would say exactly the same about Lewis.
