I knocked up some of those pivot point screws with the flat screwdriver shot for the frame a while ago, so have a drawing if anyone needs the sizes

Thanks All --I have a mondial t cab -- I always joked that enzo made the mondial a four seater 'cause it takes 4 guys to lower the top...

I can put the top down in 1 minute. To put the tonneau cover on:? 20 minutes and a lot of cussin'

The issue I have in folding the Mondial t's top is this: for some reason, the joints that are supposed to go into the recessed cups (in the back), don't, and the top comes to a stop before settling in. The joints hit before going into the cups. Trial and error eventually corrects this, but I honestly don't know why. Anyone know a simple solution?
BTW, those snaps on the boot work much better after cleaning with siliconed Q-tips.

    Hi Wingnut,
I guess I encoutered the same thing but the cups are for the NEXT step:
The parts that seem to want to nest in are of a rather short metal bar. Let's call that angle/joint the REAR of it.
That rear meets the cups at their most rear point but if you nest that rear part in, your whole process of lowering the top will end right there.
The trick is to gently push that rear part UP and let it slide / sit BEHIND the cups.
Then when carrying on with lowering the top, you will see that the FRONT part of the same short bar will nest into the cups.

I can make some pictures this weekend if the discription is not helping out.

    Best regards,
    Mondi Cab

    Greetings Ron,

    Here we go:
First picture shows where the back end of that metal bar hits the rear side of the recessed cups.
Your first reaction would thus be to try to enter those ends, but the skid marks the previous owner left for me BEHIND the cups suggested that the hitting hinge needs to be guided even further towards the REAR of the car.

THEN you will be able to push the top further down and you will see that now the FRONT end of that same short bar is neatly nesting into the recessed cup.
    Suddently it all makes sense.....

Best regards and happy motoring !
