As the title suggest, money not being an object, what is the most comfortable vehicle you have ever driven or ridden in?

    For me:

    Sedan:
    Rolls Royce Phantom
I am sure the sheer size and weight of a phantom has a lot to do with how comfortable it is.

    Truck:
    Ford Raptor
To me it’s crazy how much the suspension works meanwhile as a driver or passenger you feel a fraction of the roadway.

Performance has zero bearing on my question, this is 100% luxury/comfortable ride for the passenger(s)

Are Cadillacs or Lincolns still the way to go on a budget?

    What are your thoughts?

A8L is probably the most comfortable I’ve driven.
As far as seats, my cousins old Chrysler with the plush buttoned cushions were like pillows.

Bentley Arnage, both driving and riding in. The seats were incredibly comfortable and the suspension soaked up every road imperfection.

I recently took a medium length trip in a rented Chrysler Pacifica minivan. Pure comfort and quiet as a tomb. Mind you, I'm talking comfort - NOT status! Second place would go to a friend's Bentley Flying Spur. Not sure of the year but it did have the W12.

Then there was the Lexus LS400 I bought used in the '90's. Quiet and comfortable. Not at all engaging as a driver's car. It's one of those cars that I would rather ride in than drive.

Early 90s Cadillac by a wide margin. Came with these La-Z-Boy type seats that you just sank into and long road trips were effortless. Completely muted driving experience, but it was comfortable and surprisingly quick with a lot of torque for the times.

Have to say our last RR Dawn was, although it did have slight wind noise over the Wraith which I found slightly annoying all things considered. Very pretty car too…

As Bounty mentioned, that era of large Caddy was plush and soft sprung, and you could drive 8 hours like watching TV on the couch. My mom has had a few of them and for $5-8k they’re a surprising value for road miles. The couple of post-2004 Caddies I’ve driven are definitely trying to be more like BMW with stiffer springs and firmer seats.

I’ve still never ridden in a Rolls! I imagine the Cullinan is wonderfully smooth.

That picture is not a 1976 model though, unless it's been revamped with 1986 MY bumpers and mirrors.

I know, I did not have any original pics of our CX so posted one I happened to have.
Not everyone here is familiar with that car so any pic of the CX would give an idea what it looked like.

I also vote Lexus LS400. I have a 1998 as my daily driver, handles like a barge but moves well enough in a straight line (~300 hp and 3700 lbs) and gets solid hwy mpg for a 4L V8 (~25+ mpg). The front seats have the internal springs that the S-classes has in the late 80s and early 90s to level out any bumps that the plush suspension did not smooth out.
