    I don't think it's a silly request. Maybe unrealistic. In the end, hopefully some good will come of the investigation and possibly prevent this from happening to someone else.

    I have to agree. After looking at the sequence I still think that there was problem with the controls. Ailerons are useless in a stall and the only effective control would be the rudder and possibly the elevator if there was still thrust. I 'm certain that the impact kept the pilot from sensing anything thereafter.

    lack of basic "free and correct" pre-flight check. :confused: flight control lock safety bar was engaged

    I was taught the "Thumbs up" control check routine. Thumbs up on the control then input right aileron and the right aileron should be UP. Back on the control with the thumb up and the elevator should match the the thumb.....UP. And so on.
