What do you suppose is the least hassle way to sell a C8? Anyone have a feel for reasonable asking price- MSRP about $83K, with 10K miles, some track use, repaired bumper?
The easiest way would be Kelly blue book or Carvana or one of those. They just pick up the car (or you drop it off) and they send a check. You won't get the top price but its hassle free.
my c8 salesman said chevy is ignoring the west coast and he cant get an answer why. said kerbeck was allocated 2000 c8’s while his dealership got 12 for 2020 cars.
^^^ First, Kerbeck did NOT get 2000 2020's or even close to it. Second, if your dealer got 12 cars for 2020, then they are not in the Corvette selling business, in spite of your salesperson playing victim. Corvettes are allocated based SOLEY on Corvette sales history, period. Nothing to do with how many Suburbans the dealer sold, only how many Corvettes they sold. Some interesting stats! #2 sure is off the beaten path. Do they do it based on price? Florida sure does have a proliferation of dealers in the top 100.
When I wanted a C7 convertible back in 2014, I talked to several Chevy dealers in LA and LV. All gave me the same BS. "Well its going to take a long time. Well I don't know if we can order one for you. Well I can't quote you a price. No, I've not driven one and can't tell you about it. In fact I've never seen a convertible. But... how about this coupe I have here on the lot? No I don't know about museum deliver. We've never done one. Hey.... did you see this great truck we have for sale today?" So I jumped on the forums and asked around and they told me to try 3 different dealers on the East coast. After 10 minutes on the phone with Mike Furman I had all my questions answered, put down a deposit, and got an early one at the factory which I drove to Vegas. When the C8 came out I had a chance to see one the next day after the launch at the Tustin CA event. A dealer in Orange CA had one car they were going to display so I high tailed it down there and got to sit in it. That afternoon I called Mike, told him I wanted a convertible, put down my deposit and last September in the first batch made, had it shipped to Vegas. The dealers who sell the most Corvettes get the lion share of the sales. So, the ones that have concentrated on Corvette sales when other dealers just viewed them as a headache are getting all the allocation. That's why the West Coast can't get cars. Up until the C8 most dealers just didn't care.
Another option to what Mayor presented is Give Me The Vin. I used them back in 2018 when I offloaded my 2012 Centennial ZR1 and got $6k more than Carfax offered. They show up, take it for a drive and agree on the previously given price (or not based on your description) and give you a check for 50% then and then 50% when title is transferred. Painless and easier than dealing with low ballers when selling yourself.
Today at cars & coffee there were a number of C*8's. IMHO, they look sooo much better without the wing. Just my opinion. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I ordered a z51 black over natural, but that red one with the body colored boomerangs looks so damn nice...
Wheres the place to order a car if you don't mind waiting. Ive seen enough about the z06 now that its time to order one for 24 or 25. As an point of self respect and principle, want to order a car and pay sticker. Dont need to be first kid on the bock. Or must one wait till the Christmas rush is over and try order then.

Finally arrived last month after a 13 month wait. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Thanks. Looking forward to a better set of wheels eventually but otherwise couldn't be happier. I am though in line for a Z06.
Congratulations, very nicely spec'd car. I ordered the same wheels and I'm not crazy about them either. I think I'd like them more if they were all black, and that's easy enough to do, I suppose. I've been thinking about getting them done in black chrome, as I think that would look nice on a black car. Unfortunately, I probably have lots of time to ponder it. I ordered my car at the beginning of July.
