Says it's from factory. And has Japan in Italian in the name. Anyone heard of this? Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Sent from my SM-G981W using Tapatalk
I know this car. Where do you see “Japan” in Italian? If I’m correct, it is the M-tecnologia demo car. Link? Post more pics.
Yep. It’s the M-tecnologia demo car. Is it in Japan or Germany? This car is equipped with some of the best goodies I’ve ever seen. Dry carbon bonnet. Bespoke Bilstein challenge shocks. Monoball bushings. Light-weight clutch and flywheel. Ito Racing muffler. But i don't understand, is it a challenge car or a gtb with challenge goodies? It has radio and air vents and center console. Sent from my SM-G981W using Tapatalk
It also says 1 of 72. There's 72 of these? I've never ever seen one Sent from my SM-G981W using Tapatalk
I’m not sure what you mean by “street treatment,” but it’s challenge car. Post the link. Challenge car has very stiff springs and bushings. He went with softer springs and more road compliant monoball bushings. He might have even went from Brembo race brakes to Brembo GT brakes but the link with more pics would confirm. Outside of that, it’s a straight-up challenge car.

Implies 1 of 72 factory-built 355 challenge cars. You’ve never seen a challenge car?? @308 GTB that’s your que…
Ken challenge cars have radios, A/C and leather wrapped center consoles? Sent from my SM-G981W using Tapatalk
Right, Ken. They were the last of the F355 Challenge cars and were primarily built by the Factory. This is one of the "evo" cars. Robb would have more information on this car S/N 107991
Looks like a nice car and a great price if it’s in fact a factory built car. I don’t see any history on the VIN so perhaps it was never raced. I don’t know what the 1/72 reference is unless they’re saying 72 challenge cars plus 40 evo cars were built for the total from factory. Anyone have insight on that?
This is the same car where driver broke the shifter lol. I’ve been going through his driving vids to see if I can pick-up on any unpleasant noises from the monoball bushings, but I see he installed in 2011. All of his vids are older.
The hood is not from M-tecnologia. It’s from another company in Japan. It’s about $4k. 8-9 lbs. about 17 lb savings over stock. Owner in Japan was briefly an Fchatter over a decade ago. More info on the car here. https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/threads/m-tecnologia-front-spoiler-for-f355.240431/
The shifter gets a lot of abuse in Challenge cars. The shifter control rod forks had to be beefed up (#10)... Image Unavailable, Please Login With 2200 lb/in Front and 900 lb/in Rear springs, a bolted-in roll cage that creaks, a Challenge exhaust, and other loud cars all around me, I can't tell if my Challenge bushings make any unpleasant noises. That's a great video!
https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1997-ferrari-f355-gts-4/ Uh oh. Seems bidders don’t want to let this car go.
This car also has the same dry carbon hood. They're all coming from the same source. Interested? https://www.lmpcars.com/2009/09/07/ferrari-f355-challenge-2/
