    It has happened before, in other instances, but I'm quite sure there will be a mess to clean up inside the wheel well when the C-17 landed....

    Did no one see this fiasco at the airport coming?
    How did so many people get so close to the USAF plane as it was taking off?
    I thought the area where the US planes were was secure?
    How come pilot took off with people in front of and others clinging to the plane. Normally even a single animal on a runway stops take off.
    I wouldn't want to be a pilot told to fly there now.
    So many questions.

    If anything here is remotely political, please delete as appropriate.

    Apparently we left behind a complete F-16 simulator so they could "train" future pilots. Where do you think it will end up?

    Somehow I don't think on Ebay as the world's greatest flight simulator game.

    Well said. I have seen some landing gear wells and can only imagine the number of guys who where able to hold on the legs, locking stays, etc.

    What do you think the pilot should have done? Stop the take off? The pilot did the right thing.

    I watched a video showing a big queue of humvees from the Afghan Army going to Iran. Apparently they would be sold there.

    Apparently that flight was on Sunday and to Qatar. The stuff on Monday was sad to see. I couldn't believe the C17 was taxiing with so many people in front of the landing gears and engines. I figured for sure someone would get run over by just that not even getting to the point of takeoff speed...

    I disagree on "fault." The fault lies with those who were attempting to board the plane.

    Don't get me wrong, I get why they tried. But there's no blame on the pilots or crew.

    How much high end encryption, GPS, communication, weapons gear that should have been distroyed was left behind and for those of you in the know, what kind of intelligence damage does this do to our technology? Im sure china and russia have much of it on the way or in their hands already.

    The Chinese and the Russians already knew about US tech. The big problem is that these high tech aircraft are now going to the terrorists. It's bad enough that they had truck bombs. The damage they can do with aircraft is immeasurable.
