It isn't just here. I can only speak for myself but I was very excited when he took this project on. I want him to be successful and others follow in his footsteps. That said, man does SCG make hard to be a fan. Their social media posts are classless at best and constantly talking out of their ass, blocking anyone that dares to ask a question or have a differing opinion. It is about as unprofessional as you could possibly be as a manufacturer or race team.

Yes I can relate to what you're saying their PR could do better here, maybe he got butthurt here some time ago. Though on FB he seems very open.

I'm enjoying seeing the Corvette lead the race.
I drive my C8 in the rain and can testify to its stability in the wet.

I keep hearing Jim G referred to as a movie producer....I know he did some but I thought their real money came from an investment firm his dad had started.

LMP2 wild wild west right now with the rain out. Many cars spun into gravel.

Then Sophia Floersch gets t-boned when reversing out on track after a huge contact and brings out the safety car.

Rain is common at LeMans and I don't recall it causing such an amateur hour in previous iterations of the race.

LeMans 2021 became very special for me when I received a call late last week in Canada asking if I was available to race at LeMans. After turning my life upside down I was on a plane to France and at the track for Tuesday with first practice early Wednesday morning.

I would be part of a two driver team running for a Belgian team in the FC 5 hour support race on Friday. I would run half the race over 4 stints and get close to 4 hours of track time over the entire event. This was an invitation only event with close to 100 cars entered (the largest field in the history of the track).

It was a HUGE learning curve and an incredible challenge with lots of hurdles. Minutes before the start my co driver had his mother in law die from cancer so he had a lot in his head. Regardless we got on with it and recovered from a dreadful qualifying (car issues) of 67th to finish 25th! I got to bring the car home and do the lap of honor.

What a track and what an experience. We even briefly held the lead (mainly due to pit stop windows) but I’ll take it and can say I’ve led at LeMans : D

Seeing as this is a Ferrari forum here is a pic of me suited and ready to go in front of the AF Corse pits (they were kind enough to let me use their bathroom and look at their timing screens). They were very nice.

    Now watching the big race

I think arguably he has done more as a movie producer than he did with investments. Soon as his dad died or right before, then got out of investments. I think for the most part James wasn't all that involved, well maybe with China Agritech.

I really wish the timing and scoring on the Motor Trend/Eurosports gave more information.

Got a chance to chat with Jan Magnussen at COTA last year, he was very keen on his new ride and felt the C8.R would be very competitive one the BoP was sorted out.

I wish he and Kmag were teaming up in a Vette this year, but no matter.

Naturally, pleased to see AF Corse 488s running strong.

UPDATE: oh no, #52 488 in the garage.
