It's been repeatedly said that the car flatters him and that he's unlikeable. What is so hard to comprehend?
Kobe Bryant: “Nobody hates the good ones. They hate the great ones Lots of truth in that. Remember people. Everyone does different things on different eras. Hamilton may not be your goat ( not mine) but it’s not impossible to think of say Schumacher as the best whilst acknowledging Hamilton being great. If all people have against him are his private life, dress codes and some races he failed to perform in, then I guess he is pretty darn great Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
That car might flatter him ok, I guess it was the same for his go karts? 07 rookie year? 08 championship (in a car that wasn’t the WDC car? The same 2 out of 3 years against button? 3 out of 4 against rosberg? I mean yes he is super annoying, yes bottas is weak but his driving deserves a lot more respect than what fchat’s couch potatoes give him imo Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
did I said “every” state? Are you in the USA? Rather silly to have an wide comment “that isn’t accurate” when what I said is actually accurate. I earn income in multiple states - I have to file taxes in every state where I generate income thru my businesses. How is that not accurate?
You said, “A professional athlete pays income tax in every state he or she competes in.” My state does not have a personal income tax, so personal income earned in my state is not taxed by my state.
I can corroborate this. We do business in quite a few states and don't need to pay income taxes in all of them.
No, it's not the same, and that was not what I was speaking of. The problems are the car has elevated him, a great driver, to be touted as the second coming of Christ, his hypocrisy, and his general dooshbaggery. He's a great driver. I think he's better than Vettel, but I don't think he's better than Alonso.
Fair enough…All we know Is that as a rookie he tied Alonso, a then 2 time world reigning champ Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Yep. Ron Dennis saw dollar signs, clear and simple. There never has been a rookie that won a championship on his first go. Imagine finding out that a) they had a very quick car b) their rookie was pretty damn quick c) potential of 1st time WDC as a rookie d) English guy and e) English team. Alonso as the current WDC moving to Mclaren expected lead driver treatment, and instead that was quickly gone to at least equal. At the halfway point in the season Alonso received the bare minimum support from the team, in contrast to Lewis who got given everything.
Of course being British helped but his rookie season was special. Not many mistakes, many podiums in a row…not man have done that…don’t let your dislike blind you. It’s like Max, u can clearly see his talent from day one. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I can't see what's wrong with that. Many teams had/have a Number One driver, mostly those that are in contention for the title. You could say Lotus was Team Clark, McLaren was team Prost for a while, and later Team Hakkinen, Ferrari was Team Lauda for a couple of years, then became Team Schumacher later, etc ... It makes sense to concentrate all your effort behind the driver more likely to win, and use the other one as support. That's good team management, and people understood that before. It's only recently that some see team infighting as essential to F1.
The difference is the rhetoric coming from Lewis. False claims of "equal status" and "I want close racing" . Complete Princess behaviour when a decent team mate provides some close racing.
