While I’ll on a roll asking bizarre random interior questions about my 308, what is the magic regarding the locking door panel pouches?

I put my registration info in the drivers side pouch, locked it. Hasn’t opened since. No combination of twisting left or right or standing on my head will get it to re-open. Seems the button does not press in at all to release the latch. My RH is open and I don’t want to test it by locking it.

I actually had to bend open the clasp that attaches the locking tab to the material of the pouch flap. Opened the flap, removed the papers and reattached the clasp. No harm, no foul. Put the papers in the pouch in the back of the seat.

Is this a routine problem? I can “feel” the lock move in place when I use the key, but the button doesn’t do anything.

If this is the worst problem going forward I’ll be thrilled to leave it locked forever.

Above the button is the key lock - take a bent paper clip to fit inside the 2 holes to emulate the function of the missing key!

Why not just buy the key for a 1 US BUCK?

    1) Do you have a source for a $1 key that's OEM or is it some generic luggage/briefcase key!? If so, please reply!
I'm in the process of having new pockets/piuches fabricated - love any source you have for an OEM tuck lock/clasp!

    2) Sounded like Ferraritalian just wanted an down & dirty (immediate) solution!

    OEM is long gone.

I have a luggage key I picked-up many years ago.

'Mated it' with an OEM one at a car show.

Other than a bit of wear, they were absolutely identical.

Could not tell the difference between them.

As to your quick fix, yup, it works just fine.

Used it for a few years myself. :)

Look in the Parts X-Over 'sticky' above. A source for those keys is mentioned.

Just put in 308 pouch key or 328 pouch key in the search engine here.

Ferrari used the same key for both models.

There's about 5 or more threads on the topic and everything you need to know is covered..

    Cheers
