I had a very good lawyer, man had a grasp on the law the judge was not aware of and she agreed with him .... turns out rude words are acceptable in today's society and police need to follow correct procedure and shouldn't lie when there is video proving the opposite of what they had collaborated to say PP may be good but not THIS good
BTW turns out my lawyer does work around the country so if you ever need a great lawyer this is the man
In case anyone missed the joke - the conflict would be that the lawyer would go too easy on the cops out of gratitude.
The joke was that there would be a conflict of interest if JM hires a litigation lawyer whose wife left him for a cop.
An oldie, but a goodie - A man in his mid forties bought a new Ferrari California and was out on the interstate for a nice evening drive. The top was down, the breeze was blowing through what was left of his hair and he decided to see what the engine had. As the needle jumped up to 160 kph, he suddenly saw flashing red and blue lights behind him. “There’s no way they can catch a Cali,” he thought to himself and opened her up further. The needle hit 200, then 220, and finally reality hit him and he knew he shouldn’t run from the police, so he slowed down and pulled over. The cop came up to him, took his license without a word and examined it and the car. “It’s been a long day, this is the end of my shift and it’s Friday the 13th. I don’t feel like more paperwork, so if you can give me an excuse for your driving that I haven’t heard before, you can go.” The guy thinks for a second and says, “Last week my wife ran off with a cop. I was afraid you were trying to give her back.” “Have a nice weekend,” said the officer and he walked away.
This is great news, good for you John This sort of careless insensitive and downright hostile behaviour by these police officers needs to be properly addressed, these individuals should undergo retraining before being allowed back in service anywhere near the public. Best wishes, great result
If you met me in person you'd know how lovable I am ..... my lawyer wouldn't put me on the stand he thought I was "that"reasonable
I'd go further and say they should all be sacked immediately!! Don't need people with that mindset on the force.
I'll tell you the weird thing I noticed was that they lied even when video evidence is produced that clearly shows that what they stated could not possibly be true. One simple thing clearly shown was that I was being cuffed when they state TWICE that I could lock up the machine I was working on but they state I am resisting arrest ...... the judge agreed with me The police culture in the QPS has been bad for a long time under the Joh era and the Fitzgerald Inquiry did nothing to stem that culture of "we can say and do whatever we like " If this is how they treat someone in their 60s then how must they behave with the yonger brigade coming out of the nightclubs in Surfers ?
It's not a good look when cops lie. It happened to me once, but like with you, the judge saw through it and agreed with me. As it should be.
Disgusting behaviour!! And if your lying in the face of contrary video evidence, your only hope of future employment is in politics!!
Did judge see photos and/or videos of the physical harm that was done to you by the stormtroopers? Sent from my SM-G973U using Tapatalk
