When events don't fit, out come the excuses and the insulting labels such as anti-vaxxer, because it's forbidden to have another opinion.

There are a lot of venal politicians taking every opportunity to exploit this pandemic, it's far from just the science and it deserves to be challenged.

 

As someone who believes in individual choice, I haven't labelled anyone who doesn't want to have the vax with an offensive label (I think. Who knows what I do when I'm drunk). My brother fits into that category, no matter what I say to him.

However, I am comfortable that individual choices must come with consequences.

And if the consequence of not getting the vax is not having the same freedoms as those that do, that is fine with me.

 

My side? If you mean health professionals with many years experience and practising evidence based Medicine, then yes. There is no guess work or political agenda. It’s all about best practice for best outcomes, all based on robust research published in peer reviewed journals not some BS tweet etc. I am a published author of many articles in peer reviewed Medical journals, so I have intimate knowledge of how rigorous the process is to ensure what is presented can be validated in a scientific manner

As for insults, yes Antivaxxers are all idiots, their “opinion” is not based on fact but rather a nonsensical belief system, perpetuated and reinforced by others of the same mindset. There’s plenty of research on antivaxxers themselves out there and they usually share common traits- they tend to overestimate all kinds of negative events, have an inability to distinguish between likely and probable events as well as easily swayed by anecdotal horror stories. And that’s fact
