Any recommendations for an independent trustworthy and reasonable shop in New England/northeast US who had had extensive experience doing full upper and lower arm ball joint replacement and tie rod replacement on F430s?

Do them yourself as a very easy job. Any local decent workshop can tackle this as not ferrari specific.

+1 for John Terrell at IFS. He’s been taking care of my uncle’s f cars for >30 years. His shop is immaculate. I got to check out his 550 last time I visited.

I’m in NY and use Bradan, can’t say anything but great things about Dan. Reasonable prices, outstanding quality and service.

Git yer hands dirty...one of the first things I did when I got my car. Super easy, even when sober.

I did this job on my 360. Not Bad If:
You have a lift to raise the car.
You have the tools to disassemble and re-assemble. The correct epoxy.
You have the measuring instruments to verify A arm bores are within factory spec.
    You have automotive experience.
Otherwise a Pro is the path to follow.
Autohaus of Boston and IFS are both very good from my past experience.

You can lift it on a jack easy enough, hill engineering do the extractors but you need 2 of them.

Lift? I don't have a lift. Block of wood and a Lopro jack at Harbor Freight for $59. I have the HE tools but you can make them yourself also.

Thank you all, more general question
The car feels a a little loose over bumps in general, how much is needed to refresh the suspension?

do I need the upper and lower ball joints and also the flamblocs? What about the shock bushings? And also roll bar bushings?

By the sounds of it you have a few items to check. Checking the rear tie rods, jack up one rear wheel, grab the tyre at 3+9 o clock and see if any movement when you rock it. Do the same on the front wheels to see if any slack in the steering rack ball joints. To check the suspension ball joints you will have to remove a wheel at a time and using a pinch bar see if any lift or movement in each one.
Flamblocs can get tight and the arms dont move up and down as easy as they should do- these can be removed and taken to bits, then wire brushed and greased. Use new nylock nuts when putting back.
