I'm tired of reading that HAM beat ALO in his rookie year. Yes, I understand that on count back HAM had 1 more 2nd place than ALO, but they tied on points, tied on wins, both had 1 DNF, and it was impressive for a rookie to tie his world champion team mate. The main point is that Kimi Raikkonen in a FERRARI was the champion!

That was a mediocre result from Ham considering all the dice were loaded in his favour.

    Uncle Ron the croupier !

Anyone who followed the situation would know that Dennis was out of the picture by then and that Button was Whitmarsh's darling.

Yes he was beaten twice by Ricciardo, in 2016 and 2017.

So Hamilton's inexperience in 2007 had no bearing on anything then?

What to do, what to do? Try again for an eighth or become known immediately as the fading champion. Bottles was the perfect beard, surprised Hammy didn’t agree to pay his salary for ‘22 to keep him as teammate. Who knows, maybe the offer was there but Merc couldn’t wait.

    What logic is that?

Hamilton has been beaten by a teammate twice in his career so far and so has Max, these are the facts we are dealing with here.

And, I was right, Whitmarsh was handling the situation with the drivers not Dennis.

I see you are full of naivety in business :D

Where do you think the team manager gets his instructions from ?

What instructions were that then, give me examples of McLaren sabotaging Alonso or any other teammate of Hamilton there.

Ahh, you must've missed the tyre pressures "mistake" on Alonso's car.

    Otherwise known as sabotage ;)

Source please, what about the glitch Hamilton had in Brazil?

A clear case of sabotage wasn't it.

Oh OK I get you now, so a driver doesn't try unless he's in a title battle?

I'm afraid you will have to accept the record books, Verstappen has already been beaten twice in his F1 career.

Fact: Lewis has been beaten twice by a teammate for the WDC, including once in his absolute prime.

This proves he is merely the faster of the two drivers on an exceptional team. Well, sometimes the faster of the two, anyway. Too bad he can't show his team respect and appreciation as they deserve for what they have accomplished together. His poor character is on display each and every race weekend, unfortunately, and it diminishes the experience.

He shows and voices appreciation and respect to his team virtually every race weekend. The fact he constantly wears his heart on his sleeve on the radio is not at all a show of disrespect nor a lack of appreciation - - it's simply a function of his uber-perfectionism, that's all.
