So apparently the SP1/2 are not road legal? Is that just in the US? I assume they have turn signals, head lights, etc and that people are hanging license plates on them anyway?

They are road legal pretty much everywhere. Also possible to register in the US now under a restricted mileage scheme.

Good timing on your question. I just got a call from Ferrari yesterday asking if I would be interested in a kit that will make the Monza eligible for a show and display permit in the US. That means Monzas with the kit will be allowed to be driven.

My Monza is still in production so he said I’d have to let him know if I’m interested ASAP. I asked for details on the kit but he didn’t have any. It wasn’t a commitment, just Ferrari taking inventory of who is “interested”.

Does anyone know what the kit involves? I’d guess something with emissions and standard 3-point seatbelts instead of (or in addition to) the 4 point harness that’s in there now. Maybe some side turn signals too (that might be a deal breaker for me though since it’ll effect the look of the car)
