Wow. Jameison Winston destroys Green Bay.
Geez the Browns completely blow it in KC. They just gave the game away they had in hand. The Chargers won despite the worst officiated game in history. The NFL needs to fire that crew.
Aaron Rodgers looked like crap yesterday. Wondering if his heart isn't in it anymore, because it's obvious he can't stand his head coach.
Totally agree. When the kicker fumbled that snap, I knew they gave the game away at that point. He has one job to do, snag that snap and kick the damn ball as far as you can. Inexcusable for a breakdown in concentration on his part.
He wants out. There was talk about Vegas picking him up but I think he will wait until some starting QB goes down.
There's no more "magic" left in Ryan Fitzpatrick. So WFT will go with Taylor Heinicke starting this Thursday. https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/32203017/washington-football-team-rules-ryan-fitzpatrick-thursday-vs-giants-taylor-heinicke-start-qb
Wow what a MNF game! I thought Carr played like crap the first 30 minutes. Typical Raiders with bad penalties but they pulled it off at the end. My DVR stopped on the one yard line. Had to catch the rest of the game on Youtube.
Actually that is a common misperception. The rule was created because of the Palmer incident, not the Brady incident. It was already in place at the time Brady got hurt
Ironically, this is from a Boston news source: Brady rule: Steps taken to protect QBs' knees By Christopher L. Gasper Globe Staff / March 24, 2009 DANA POINT, Calif. - Tom Brady hasn't even thrown a pass in his comeback, and he's already affected change for the 2009 NFL season. In part because of the season-ending left knee injury that Brady suffered in the Patriots' 2008 season opener against the Chiefs, the league's Competition Committee adopted a clarification of the current rule on hits to a quarterback in the knee area or below. The clarification specifically prohibits a defender on the ground who hasn't been blocked or fouled directly into the quarterback from lunging or diving at the quarterback's lower legs. Brady tore his left ACL and left MCL in the first quarter of the Patriots' 17-10 win over the Chiefs Sept. 7. As Brady stepped into a 28-yard completion to Randy Moss, Chiefs safety Bernard Pollard made a desperation dive into Brady's left knee after he had been blocked to the ground just short of Brady by running back Sammy Morris. Pollard was not flagged or fined for the hit. Under the revised rule, a play like his would be penalized, according to Titans coach Jeff Fisher and Falcons president Rich McKay, co-chairmen of the committee.
And Carson Palmer was injured in 2006..... https://www.espn.com/nfl/news/story?id=2290239 Doctor: Palmer knee injury 'potentially career-ending' Jan 12, 2006 Associated Press
