Hi All, while rummaging around under the drivers side of the dash trying to fix my ignition switch issue, I came across a couple of things I'd never noticed before. Couldn't see anything in the owners manual to explain it either.

    1. One looks like some sort of socket or light fitting on the left side of the column.
    2. The other is a similar sized hole on the right hand side of the column.
    3. While messing with the wiring near the ignition switch this bolt fell out. Does anyone recognise it? To me it doesn't look very automotive (but I could be wrong?)

I attached some pictures as reference.

    Thanks for your help.

No 1 is the emergency light power socket 'receptacle' (P21 #47) - many threads here - they all have it

I use this DIN socket to power my timing light. I purchased some of the DIN HELLA connectors from AMAZON and wired them to my 12 vdc timing light.
I also use the socket to keep my Iphone charged, when needed.

Inside that hole under the ignition switch is this part with the rubber boot. I think that is the ground wire connected to the door and ignition buzzer.

Thanks for the responses so far. That's pretty handy having a +12v socket there. Thanks for those ideas Richard.
So what is the point of the access hole? To connect the ground wire? Is there suppose to be a cover over it?
Does anyone recognise the bolt/screw? Could it be from the key lock system?

That screw doesn't look like a Ferrari part to me. And it seems too shiny to be an old Ferrari part.

That screw looks like one of four used to hold the instrument cluster in.
