I spent a fair amount of time looking at one last week at the dealer while I waited for a part. Not my thing but kind of a cool look. I think the chrome open driveshaft is great looking retro stuff. Lots of down low power and torque. Probably in the same timezone with some Harleys and even a Goldwing is about those numbers. The local BMW dealer has no inventory. They had two of these on the floor.

Probably not my cup of tea. I like 500 pound motorcycles with normal rake and trail. But if you ride it, let me know. I bet it is a torque monster.

Too bad. I loved your comment about how CW loves everything. I've been reading motorcycle mags since the '60s. They make great marketing copy.

On line 2, it looks like Harley Pan America is selling like hot cakes. I talked to an owner this weekend on the Blue Ridge and he loved it. I think the headlight is fugly but it's not like my BMW GS is a good looking motorcycle.

Saw one when I bought my new R1250R a few months back. Very harley-esque which turned me off right away. Nice design though, as most motorrad bikes are.

I am bombarded with BMW R18 promo. Come see one, come ride one and on and on.
I literally was buying a drain plug washer last week for $.80 and the dealer asked me if I wanted to ride one.
