It's worth noting that sometimes it's possibly just a 40yr-old window motor that has worn out.

I just measured mine, also with engine off. It's an 83, roof on and doors shut(this should make a different as the window has to run against the window seal). It's a GTS, I assume a GTB will have different performance, being a framed seal. It's also 81F in the garage. Warmer weather should make it faster, though I never noticed a significant difference in the winter.

Driver's side: 3.5 sec down, 4.7 sec up. Pass side: 4.1 sec down, 5.5 seconds up

For comparison, I tried my wife's Mazda in the same garage: 2.2 sec down, 3.2 sec up on driver's side front window.

So I guess my comment on it being "modern speed" is stretching the truth a little, but I do think it's fast enough that no one would consider it slow, or perceive it as an issue.. Before the relays, it was embarrassing.

I never considered putting the relays in the fuse area. That's a really good idea!!! In that case, you don't have to water proof them. Why didn't I think of that?

Actually, Franny is doing a whole bunch of things on her website pertaining to the 308 model. It's on YouTube. Search "Heidi & Franny's Garage".
