Nah, he's pointing at the filler cap shouting 'That's where his money is going!' Dad looks as if he's estimating just how much money is going there...
Petrol is relatively inexpensive on this side of the pond. $3.40 per gallon for premium gas. Nov 2020, it was significantly less.
That is fookin crazy! Please tell us that you two had a good laugh about it. Do interiors match as well?
If you can’t afford a 365 GTC/4, -which is high on my wish list, a 550 Maranello is not a bad «plan B»... Image Unavailable, Please Login
This is a beast… not my pic, but more can be found here: https://rmsothebys.com/en/auctions/PA22/Paris/lots/r0001-2003-Ferrari-550-GTC/1157081?&utm_source=rmsothebys.com&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=PA22&utm_term=PA22_Consign&utm_content=lot_image&_cldee=cnViZW5fMTI3MUBob3RtYWlsLmNvbQ%3d%3d&recipientid=contact-f17f7585b846e511b00114feb5caa464-c19cb8c270384bbdb6ca283945cf9695&esid=06481049-9620-ec11-8274-000c2971a03a Ruben Image Unavailable, Please Login

Agree! You know, I was talking recently with a good friend of mine who really wants a 365 GTB/4 "Daytona." He has the wherewithal to buy one, and we were discussing the market for, and merits of, classic front engine V-12 Ferraris. After our conversation I realized that I not only already have a classic front engine V-12 Ferrari, I have one of ultimate examples: a 550 Maranello. And it's way faster, quicker, better handling, more comfortable and usable, cheaper to buy and, IMO, even prettier, than the old carbureted ones. With that realization any desire I might have had for an old V-12 Ferrari subsided. How fortunate we are to be the caretakers of these timeless modern classics, which are among the very best GT cars Ferrari has ever offered.
To quote Dr Dre…..today was a good day….. 550 had been with the mechanic for 26 weeks…..the PPI and the follow on items including a major belt service was an investment I was glad to make. My mechanic said it would be perfect and patience was a virtue. Special thanks to Fabio and @root ….those mufflers are the cats pajamas. In the coming weeks I’ll mount the go pro and get a proper tunnel rip. I did a short rip in the tunnel near the San Jose airport and it was amazing. I’m really happy with the charcoal wheel color change, really gives it some “weight”. Went out for 3 hours and 136 miles and came home and thanked my wife (her patience the last 24 years has been amazing and I’m so grateful).
