Haven't seen anything yet. Where is it already? Normally long out by this date. Anybody? Bueller? Bueller?
F1 to shrink Monaco GP to three-day race weekend from 2022 By: Luke Smith Sep 22, 2021, 10:41 AM Formula 1 CEO Stefano Domenicali has confirmed the Monaco Grand Prix will run to a traditional three-day race weekend format from 2022. Monaco has traditionally spread its race weekend over four days, holding the opening two practice sessions on Thursday before using Friday as a rest day for the F1 paddock. The tradition dated back to the race’s original scheduling on a bank holiday weekend, but was maintained to allow traffic to flow through the area and assists businesses in preparing for the weekend. But as F1 plans for next year’s calendar, which is set to be revealed in mid-October and finalised at the next FIA World Motor Sport Council meeting, the Monaco weekend will now switch to a traditional format. It is anticipated that the addition of the Miami Grand Prix to the schedule in May will force Spain and Monaco to go back-to-back. While this has been achieved in the past with a four-day Monaco weekend, the switch to the normal three-day format will ease some logistical pressures. “Monaco will be in three days, straightaway,” F1 boss Domenicali said in an interview with CNN. “So [it will be] Friday, Saturday and Sunday instead of Thursday, a hole, then Saturday and Sunday. Yes, that is the change we’re going to introduce next year.” During the interview, Domenicali confirmed that the plan was to stage a 23-race calendar again next year after initially targeting the figure in 2021, only for the ongoing pressures of the pandemic to drop this figure to 22. https://www.autosport.com/f1/news/f1-to-shrink-monaco-gp-to-three-day-race-weekend-from-2022/6672605/

Bahrain and YAS are always at night. Qatar should be as well from what has been put out. MOTOGP is night there. The lighting is quite amazing.
Why isn't Miami and Montreal scheduled with the COTA-->Mexico-->Brazil itinerary. I mean it would make sense from a logistical point of view to schedule Miami and Montreal WITH COTA, Mexico, and Brazil. North America into Central America and then South America.
Staff want to see their families I guess. Plus another opportunity to spend money needlessly Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
I think it is bundled together with Montreal, which used to be a sole fly-to race. So this works better. It also brings back the "tradition" from when there was an Indy F1 GP.
Divorce rates are high in F1. Those without Yacht, Monaco residence, Porsche Taycan or Bugatti or private jets. Shocking I know..............
Toto is asking for 'crew rotation'. How else to manage such a long schedule. Cost cap would imply a race schedule cap no?
Exactly. More crew needed but spending is restricted. I suppose F1 is thinking to let the teams figure out the best balance of performance value of spending on tech upgrades at the factory and having fresh crew at the races.
Back in my days, the crew would change the engine, transmission 5 times per weekend; along with rebuilding whatever the driver broke. They also went through more tires,.......just not during the race............ On the other hand, professional Football (American style) has the teams play every week for 20-weeks in a row. It is hard to imagine that Football players do not get beaten up more than F1 mechanics...... NASCRAP runs 43 weeks in a row, with smaller teams,.........the team is basically away from home 2/3rds of the year.
This calendar with so many races is an absolute nonsense. Each Grand Prix must be an event, from now on it will be trivialized to the extreme. Like drinking a Petrus every day of the week..
Seb Spin - agree's! Vettel: Too many races could stop F1 being "special" By: Jonathan Noble Co-author: Roberto Chinchero Oct 16, 2021, 4:16 AM Formula 1 risks losing valuable staff as well as stopping grands prix being ‘special’ events if the calendar continues expanding, warns Sebastian Vettel.
