Can anyone suggest a good place for a pre-purchase inspection in Springfileld? I have heard of a place called Import Specialists but I would like to have some more info if anyone has any experience with them.

Hello Ed--- Have you consider Motorcars International in Springfield, MO? Assuming your impending purchase isn't originating from there.

As above...probably your best best in the area. There is also another independent exoticar dealer there -Premier Sportscars- but I don't have an experience with them.

My car was from Willhoit Enterprises. Don't know who they'd recommend.

    Call Micheal Willhoit?

The 328 is for sale by Premier Sportscars and I was looking for an independent service shop to do the PPI. MotorCars International does do PPI's but I not sure how they would feel about doing it for a car for sale by a competitor.

    Thanks for the input.

I understand your concern, esp. if Motorcars also has 328's to sell. But what's the worst scenario? They tell you Premier's 328 is "not good" so you don't end up buying it (so you buy theirs instead).

I don't know if there are any other qualified shops in the Springfield area
to do PPI (in a Ferrari) other than Motorcars. I have had limited dealings with them and I think they are very reputable. I just didn't end up buying from them because their price (on a car I was interested in) was on the high side. But if you hire them, you become their customer and they should work in your favor. Premier doesn't have to know where you got your inspector from UNLESS their car is to be taken somewhere for the PPI. Just my thought...

    Good luck.

    Ron,

Good advice. It might not be so bad that both dealers know I shopping. It does seem strange that as many exotic car dealers as there are in Springfield, that there are not more high quality service centers.

    Thanks again for your reply.

Premier is TOP NOTCH organization. Small but competitive and very personable service. I bought my NSX from them 4 months ago and the transaction took less than 4 hours. Excellent people. Talk to Merry C.

    Good luck,

Chris and Premier are very stand up guys, I know them and the car. I would recomend Import Specialist to do a PPI and coincidentally the car is their right now having its major done. If I were you I'd contact them while they have the car and ask for them to go over it. You could probably save the cost of hte inspection that way.

Hey Wade, just curious, did you sell that Diablo at auction? I made an inquiry about it, and am still looking.

    Sincerely,
