The man is library of knowledge, and just so interesting to listen to. Him and Harry Metcalfe are the top tier of Automotive Youtube content!

    Waaay cool...

I was once involved only briefly in a Ferrari 512BB resto, literally from boxes.

The owner had noticed the blue carpeting in my car, and ask me to ghost around the Old Shops of Houston.
There was one downtown I knew from my convertible days in a Pontiac Firebird, they had the "old classics" always scattered about, for new tops.
So off I went, to "match my car"...and out came "The Books", they had shelves and shelves of them!
By both Manufacturer and Model Year....

    Where to start?
    It seemed an impossible task!

But like the cool calm of Mr. Connolly, there, the trimmer knew....
He felt of it a bit, eyed the color, and (as finally confirmed in this video) says"

"It looks like Ferrari used the same as Rolls Royce, of the matching period".....:and in minutes was on the page, of the exact match.
That went on to support the material, for the resto of the blue 512BB.

They eventually closed and the building demolished, for "Progress" of course...I was away but they said the sale of the warehouse, with rolls and rolls of leather stock, was attended by local Hot Rodders and Cadillac Shops, alike.....

I was glad that after my ownership, my Ferrari #22641 went on, to get a brand new interior, which came out smazing!

Out on the West Coast again, (it was a "Tonkin Car" ) I have no idea what they used, but it "looked right"....
