F8 Order Status

If it’s the Collection- Ferrari of Miami it’s a long wait. Could be six months from the time it goes to10R.

 

No, not Collection.

 

I finally took delivery of my F8 Spider.

I wish to thank everyone that takes part in the F8 discussions on F-Chat. I’ve lurked around for many months gaining information and insight into build specs, timing, vessel tracking and more. As well as lots of therapy throughout the process.

- Order went 10R on 4/29/2021
- Made it to Port early August
- Released from port late August
- Made it to dealer in Southern California on 9/7/2021

Here are basic photos as well as more detail on the various order milestones I encountered.

Beautiful spec, enjoy it in good health. I wish I knew the door handles and dash inserts could be painted, I would have ordered them that way.

 

I can’t recall if the CF seat backs were part of a CF package or standalone option. I looked at my window sticker and I don’t see it itemized. But, yes, it’s an option. I also opted for matte CF.

I had the dealer make a special request. The option ended up costing $2,000. Relatively reasonable for a special request in Ferrari world. But it took the factory a few weeks to approve the request, which served to delay my progression in kind.

I’m very happy with the results.

Does anyone know how much longer the triple layer paint job take? I was told that some of them are done offsite and require some additional time.

@Bigbobo: My Pista has three layer (Extra-campionario) paint. In looking at the order history 6.5 months from time of order to delivery. Time depends on the complexity of the color. I believe cost is given when factory accepts the paint request. Around circa 30k for Bianca Italia (at least for the Pista). What color were you thinking about requesting?

 

My GTS has been in Newark docked for the last 4 weeks and per FNA they are back logged and can't provide an ETA. My sales manager managed to get it into priority list but even then no clue as to when I'll see it.

 

Unloaded and left port.

 

We went with Rosso Coburn and yeah the price was up there but I’m more focused on the time impact now.

 

So my dealership just informed me that my car is now on a ship. However Vienna Express has just left NJ and Chicago Express hasn't arrived in Italy yet.

Any guru's here have a guess as to which vessel she's on?

 

Now the wait for transport to the dealer. I am guessing it will be another month before it arrives at the dealership.

 

You guys get tortured with delivery timescales and I think the production pics just make is worse

I got my Spider final pic last Wednesday...... it arrived at the dealer on Friday

 

And post/dock employees. This is what free money gets you. Dependent leaches/parasites... Do not get me started...

 

Look at my extensive research posted in this forum about all vessels that could potentially have your car.
