Wow, congrats on the purchase! Just catching up with this thread... black on tan is one of my all time favourite color combos. And being a few years older than you, the F355 was my poster dream car at one point in life. Definitely have one in my purchase list. Enjoy the heck out of it!
Hey, I don't get on FChat as much as I did a LONG time ago (had a 308 several years ago, have a Mondial 3.2 now but I don't drive it much). Anyway, I always loved the 355 so CONGRATS to the OP! A few things though. First, didn't the 355's have a header issue and a valve issue? Factory headers crack and cause issues (overheating?) and the valve issue caused smoking/oil burning and/or low compression? Anyway, since the OP is younger, I'd suggest you research the 355 on FChat and learn more about the engine and potential issues just to be prepared and have the repairs done ASAP. I also remember a post or series of posts that talked about the aftermarket exhausts on 355's, I think it was the Capristo Stage 3 that was super-loud. I recall someone said that got headaches, but I always loved the sound on videos. I always had a "dream" to get one and just wait for a Harley with "loud pipes" to try to show off next to me... then blast his ears with the 355! ... LOL. Anyway, good luck to the OP!!! Awesome car! I’m very familiar with 355s mechanically. Already had valve guides addressed and no issue with headers or cats. Took it in for a transmission rebuild and engine out, upon inspecting the car mechanically it had no other issues and it isn’t quite due for an engine out again. There was a laundry list of tiny items that needed refurbishment / replacement with time which along with a shifter rattle which I opted to address for my own OCD’s sake but that was it. Thank you for the kind comments! Absolutely adore my 355.
A quick note on aftermarket exhaust…I have had two 1995 355’s…one had a Tubi and one had the (Quiet) challenge exhaust…there were two different exhausts allowed in the series…certain tracks required a quieter version…my 355 with the quiet version sounded amazing. No drone, not too loud…just perfect. Just my two cents, love your color combo!
I forgot to mention- you may want to consider using Dr. Color Chip for touchup paint. That is what I am using and there are no paint blobs. I am one to whom wants to keep their paint original so its really handy. The color match is pretty damn accurate and its easy to apply. The solution that they use to level the paint is safe for our single stage paint as well- tested it myself. This is the best touch up paint solution that I have found so far and I really want to avoid doing a respray. https://drcolorchip.com/
De Ferrari F355 is echt top en zeker in het zwart zoals jij er één gevonden hebt. Dat hij van Denzel Washington is geweest is enkel een extra pluspunt. goed gedaan

Being OCD is an expensive curse when owning a black 355
I'd leave the airbag alone or by a brand new cover if available. If you choose to have someone fix it, try to retain the original leather as you won't find matching leather these days. It will stand out even more.
Planning on buying a factory piece, that’s what I’ve done for everything else on the car (I quite enjoy spending money on eBay apparently ) but I’m lucky enough to have period correct matching leather which I plan on using to restore worn pieces and bring the car as close to perfect as possible.
