I am having trouble finding the tire in my size I am familiar with. 315/35/17 on the rear, 245/40/17 on the front. I have found them in Mickey Thompson, Nitto, Toyo. Toyo is too track oriented, Nitto looks ok, can't imagine running Mickey Thompson as I associate that with drag racing, hot rods, and muse cars.

Anyone here run Nitto? Who else might have a 315/35/17?

275/40-17 and 315/35-17 were the sizes that came on the ZR-1 Corvette which debuted in 1990. I used them on this car which I built around then. No other car came with that rear size, which is why they are so hard to find. I suggest asking Tire Rack and joining corvetteforum.com to see what ZR-1 owners use. Toyo's R888R is a great street tire which I have used for years on my 2002 Corvette.

If price is not an issue, Michelin pilot tires could be an option?

Yes, I think they might be available, was just curious about Nitto and other brands. More than likely will do pilots if I can get them.

Michelin doesn't make any tires in 315/35-17.

Sorry my fault, the pilot sport used to be provided in 315/35-17, but Michelin Classic does not list them anymore. Only 335/35-17. From time to time they drop low demand products from their catalogues. I am afraid your size does not interest manufacturers, even Sumitomo has dropped them from their catalogues...

I have a set in those exact sizes on my 94 Corvette (not zr1) that I'm trying to sell, but they are Goodyear Eagles 17 and 14 years old. I've had trouble locating replacements, so appreciate the tip that Mickey Thompson has them. Hope you find what you're looking for!

I have a 1996 LT4, same size as the ZR1. Most of the ZR1 people use the Michelins and move up to 335/35/17 in the rear or change out the wheels. There are several threads about this in the C4 section of CorvetteForum. A buddy of mine runs the Nittos on his LT4 and likes them. I have the Eagle’s. Great tires, but impossible to find in the original size. Mine are 6 years old so I need to change them this winter. Michelin vs Nittos? Probably moving up to the Michelin’s with 335 if the rims will handle them.
