F430 driver seat problem, NEED HELP

Hello, I removed my driver seat to cut a sample swatch off of the bottom of the seat for a color dye kit match. I installed the seat and now it will not lock into place correctly. The seatback will not lock upright, it only locks laying prone. The youtube video link shows the passenger seat operation as an example, the seatback should lock upright, it should not even move backwards towards a prone position. I don't know how I caused this nor how to fix it. Any ideas?

the seat was electronically reclined. Had to plug it in and move it back into proper position.
