I just saw this active auction. Prices are rising on these https://bringatrailer.com/listing/2009-ferrari-599-gtb-6/
Standard 599 gaveled at $165,000, and last 599 w HGTE pack at $200,000 ---prices are definitely firming up
i wouldnt use BAT as a comp for anything i've seen car languish on ebay and then bring $$$ on BAT my buddy listed his 612 on BAT. it sold for $20k over his facebook ad that he never took down 599 are overvalued. f12, 812 compression
Why do you think they are overvalued? It is the best car I have ever owned. It is always fun to drive and it is comfortable enough to take on a longer trip. Are There: Cars with more power, yes. Cars that are faster, yes. Cars that handle better, yes. Cars that are more fun? I doubt that.
yes, based on some recent sales i have seen in the high 100's. they were low $100's 6 month to year ago. there were several on the manheim dealer site <100$
So your saying the recent run up makes them over valued because they were cheaper 6 months ago. Did I get that right? And, dealer prices are related to the market but they are not the market so they don't matter that much.
take it or leave it.. all opinions... nothing to do whether it is a great car or not they seemed to be depreciating along the normal curve and became sticky around $100 for the early cars until covid hit when everything became an "investment". imho, if you are paying north of $150k u better know what you are buying. some people think this is the new normal.... My intent was to buy a 599 “right” along the bottom of its ‘deprecation curve’. I feel like I did that and will not look back as I pile the miles on it! ( Screw the ‘investment’……25 days and counting until my 2,100 mile road trip. . )
Jim: I agree and bought a 599 at the bottom--just pure luck---so I decided to convert to a gated 6 and am going to drive it. Powerful enough and I don't need it to be the quickest --just row the gears and enjoy at my advanced age.
Is your conversion complete? If so, I'd be interested to hear some feedback. I know EAG has done a lot of 430s, but am not aware of any finished 599s yet.

The shop for that job is Exoticars in NJ. Wil, Tom and the team did the first 599 in partnership with @brogenville and @360trev.
