    Looks the time has come to trade the S550. It has 203,000 and is 14 years old. My daughter is grown up and my wife's parents and mine are gone so no need for the huge back seat. The new S class is 4" longer and won't fit in my garage so I thought I would try the 535HP BMW. The M8 is basically the same car with 620HP, but I have my 599 for that kind of thrill and the M8 is 30K more than the 850i. I'm going to order the car today.

    congrats, its a nice car. did you look at audi 7 series?

    Thanks, I've had Audis in the past, never owned a BMW and I wanted to experience the engine.

    Cool. I have an 850 coupe. Absolutely love it and I have never been a BMW guy!!! Nicely appointed. Great electronics. All wheel steering. All wheel drive. They claim 535 HP. Has to be a lot more than that. I got mine at the start of production. Test drove an M8. I was not impressed with the incremental difference so stayed with the M850.
