It has become the focal point of the body side even more than the ‘base’ car. Too much is never enough I guess.
^^^^ I assume there will be the option to get it in body color...the down side/up side depending on your point of view is that this option also paints the rear vents body color and the strakes across the front radiator grills body color also...at least that's how it's done on the Stingray. Another option would be to take it to a body shop and have them paint the "wishbone" in body color. That would not be expensive and easy to do as that part probably just unbolts.
Actually, it is not easy to remove the side boomerangs. The body shop told me, it unbolts only when the rear wing is removed. IMO, either get it from the factory painted, or have it wrapped in carbon fiber, if don't like the standard black.
^^^ The wing does not have to come off. The wing is attached to the rear facia, the boomerang is no where close. I guess I'm missing how the Carbon Flash painted wishbone is an eyesore but wrapping it in fake Carbon Fiber is OK HOW TO REMOVE DOOR PANELS ON A 2020 CORVETTE C8 - YouTube HOW TO REMOVE THE QUARTER PANEL SIDE MOLDING ON A 2020 CORVETTE C8 - YouTube
Stand corrected. Body shop guy and I didn’t see that YouTube video. Thx for link. Regarding the wrap. That’s a personal decision. For me, I like the hypersonic gray a bunch. I personally would have it painted from BG the HG body color, rather than the stock black. CF wrap can be an alternative option if didn’t like the stock black. If doesn’t meet exceptions can be easily removed to keep it stock.
Nothing unsafe about using leather plugs in mid-tread on a daily driver. They will outlive the tire and perform at all speeds. Wouldn't think twice on a DD.
Finally got to drive a C8 today. I got one of those touring packages at the track next door to the Corvette museum in Bowling Green. Anyway, got four fast laps in. It’s an amazing car, and it felt like a glove when I got in the driver’s seat. Just an excellent drivers position. Seems like it would be a wonderful daily driver sports car. My only issue was the short gears. Turns out I don’t think I’m willing to give up a high revving Ferrari for it, to me it’s missing that intoxicating urgency at the top. Otherwise a great and fun car, and as I’ve been reflecting on the drive this evening, it continues to grow on me. Basically, what this means is that I need to wait to check out the high revving Z version to re-evaluate. That may be the catalyst. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I would agree. This is my DD and its great for that. But its milder than a Ferrari. Hopefully the Z06 will get it right and more aggressive.
C8 Corvette sales are on fire! A few people are in for a much longer wait for delivery than they thought. https://www.roadandtrack.com/news/a37885271/c8-corvette-truckload-fire/ Image Unavailable, Please Login .

I very much agree with his opinions. This car isn't as raw as its looks but is really a great GT/ Daily driver. Fun yet easy to live with.
Just had the press intro last weekend in Frankfurt. My brother is in Frankfurt for business and sent me these pics from his hotel the other day. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
aaand euro convertible. I don't like this 'EVO' guy as much as 'Carfection's' Henry Catchpole above. In-car audio sucks. .
Funny this is the 2nd UK journo to say he wishes the seats were a little lower. I said the same thing sitting in mine for the first time. I was looking for the adjustment (there is none). I think Euro cars like the seats lower but maybe Chevy likes them higher to get in and out of easier.
Almost gushing. They give the nod over 911, compare to McLaren/Lotus. High praise. https://www.evo.co.uk/chevrolet/corvette/202288/new-chevrolet-corvette-c8-review-americas-sports-car-has-turned-supercar?fbclid=IwAR0Fxmg6y5VVkNOfJa26sBBRUwCckg5SoNFULXhK1ZumgHNyxl0Bd17-qug
IMO the "wall of buttons" is unnecessary. That space is wasted for a better location of the cell phone charger and more passenger elbow room.
I agree. It's nice to have a car reviewer that doesn't believe (mistakenly) that he's a standup comic.
The wall of buttons is perfect. When you decide to change a setting its right there where a shifter used to be in the olden days.
