    The only thing to avoid is a cheap "Timing belts change kit". Usually they are rubbish and will last much less than going on with your old bearings and belts. Buy high end bearings and belts and change them all (not only the belts!!). In my opinion if you do that every 7-8 years you already did (much) more than enough: doing that every 3-4 years is a stupidity in my opinion. And changing them with low quality bearings is even more stupid.

    If you look at the small, single row bearings at the drive pulleys and consider the geometry, and then look at the belt angles and the large double row tensioner bearings, it's clear that there is a big mismatch. I only replaced mine out of an abundance of caution as one didn't feel very smooth (probably from sitting for 17 years.) Two Hill bearings were about £100 I think and will outlive me and the car. I wouldn't replace them if they still feel smooth and have little play.
