What's the general consensus Full car PPF or just the front?

I don't want to waste money but this will be a daily driver.

If you can stretch to it, full-PPF - particularly if on a new car. Makes cleaning a lot easier and protects from a lot of smaller damage/stone chips etc.

My used California couldn't be fully PPF'd because the door panels were stone chipped and previously spot-touched-up. If I was buying a brand new car I would seriously consider a full PPF

Ok 2 for full, 1 for front. I should have set up a poll.

Because the tiny chips from Southern California freeway driving are predominantly on the front of my cars, I did the front half plus mirrors of my Cali T.

my 2 cents - if you plan to keep the car for a long time I would go full PPF... If only keeping for 2-3 years just do the front.
I am going full PPF and ceramic coating on my Roma.

I have full PPF on my 458 Spider and it is the easiest car to keep clean. A simple rinse with a hose cleans almost everything off it. If I ever get the Portofino M we ordered it will definitely have a full PPF.

I will compare the prices WHEN I get the car. Leaning towards full ppf. Dealer uses Expel. Live by the beach so plenty of sand and little pebbles. Of course it is not going to stop the pickup truck in front of me doing 70mph with the tailgate open and remodeling "stuff" blowing out the back.. I have had a tire fall out of a pickup in front of me luckily it bounced on the freeway and over my car. Not so lucky for the car behind me.

My Cali came with front. I did the remainder: doors, rear quarter panels. Everything except the trunk.
Overkill perhaps but for piece of mind, and because I like driving the car much more than cleaning it.

I think it depends on the car. I always do front bumper, hood, mirrors and front quarter panels only on all the Ferraris I have owned, along with ceramic coating. I think anything more is overkill. Just my opinion.

I am restoring and painting a 308. With that car, I’m gonna do the everything, front to back, from the centerline down, plus the front quarter panels and the hood. But that is because of all the rock chips below that line cause by the tires throwing up everything on those panels. The modern cars don’t seem to have that problem with the ground effects.

Only put PPF on parts you want perfect. Do the nose , but only if you can handle scratches, chips, etc on any body panel not covered. Remember, poop happens and you are left cleaning it up!!!
I would seek private companies to perform the service. Full paint correction and Full PPF on my cars...
    my two cents

I spent all summer down the shore with my 992 TTS and Porto with PPF and there are horrible small bubbles and dots all over from the combo of rain/salt air/heat/sun causing rain to dry very quickly, basically burning the salt and acid into the PPF. I have to have it all redone. I can fix a scratch for less than this nonsense. Not sure all the fuss for PPF if it fails at the beach.

For whatever it is worth, I did a front PPF when I ordered the Portofino. It is my daily drive. Dealer said stones seldom attack the rest of the bonnet. Would have liked it on the wing mirrors though. I ALWAYS clean off any bird droppings immediately and have the car waxed once a year. The fact that your car will be subject to salt may be the most important consideration: I do not know what salt will do to the PPF.

On a Porto all you need is full front. The car sits higher and is not as prone to rock chips as the mid-engine cars.IMO the rest is overkill.
You also should take into consideration the color you're ordering. IMO, regardless of the claims about clarity that the PPF manufacturers make there is a subtle change in the appearance of the paint that is more evident with certain paint colors.
