I'm trying to find a Maserati Mistral that was stolen from me several years back. It was silver with a red interior. VIN number AM109A11404 Any info would be greatly appreciated!
When exactly did your Mistral go missing ? Under what circumstances did #AM 109/A1*1404 go missing ? All information is important is you are serious about tracing it.
If you're trying to crowdsource info on your stolen Mistral (nothing wrong with that, BTW), why would you send a PM, and not post additional info publicly so that more people can see it?
Gentlemen, With the recent astronomical rise in the value of some classic cars, I was wondering how many previous owners are now regretting forfeiting ownership of their cars due to non-payment for the cost of restoration work at a time when their cars were less valuable ???
You need to start a new thread if you want to ask that. It's a big topic I am sure. For me, however, it was letting my fathers 1964 Eldorado slip away in about 1989.
Good afternoon. I am the former owner of the Mistral in reference, VIN #AM109A11404. I realize that this is an old thread, but the uncovering of one my former Mistral VINs this weekend prompted me to join this site and see if I might be able try and locate it. I have history of the sale of the car back in 2000 and some of the background shortly after the sale. However, I am looking to trace the car down and purchase it back, which is my ultimate objective. I am also looking for my other two Mistrals, #AM109A1020 and #AM109A1600. Thank you
That’s because prior to 1981, Vin numbers were random numbers of various lengths and codes with different meaning per manufacturer. After that DOT dictated 17 digit vins, with universal meaning for the 1st ten digits. Example the 1st digit is the country where the vehicle was built. 1 USA, 2 Canada, J Japan, W Germany, Z Italy.
AM109.A1.1404 1967, silver (?)/red 1995 with John Leach -Joliet.ILL./USA later stolen in the USA Jan. 2006 for sale in the USA and owned by AHK-Solingen –Solingen/D. May 2008 sold to Carl Elmer Madsen –Demark, paid Euro 30,000, restored. Current wherabouts unkown.
Are you sure about #AM109A1020 or is it #AM109A1.020 or #AM109.1020 You need to be very precise on this.
