The 275 GTB shown in the pictures definitely isn't s/n 06449!
It does not have the round rain gutters above the door (very early 275 GTB's), washer mounts next to the wipers and many other special features from 06449.
    Best regards
    Kevin

I wish. A family friends. I used to walk by his house up the street on the way to high school in the seventies. It was in the carport under a cover. I knew what it was. In college I ended up doing drafting on projects for him. He used to stop by when he needed to run it, honk his horn and we’d go out for a quick run on Carmel Valley Rd.
He sold it without telling me in the mid eighties. I would have bought it.
    Great memories.

I do not know. Robert Belter, Carmel. Not an active Ferrari guy back then as I remember.

    07207.
Owned at the time by Robert Belter, a retired Navy captain.
Belter sold it 12 December 1985 and received US$ 32'500.
Restamped engine number and restamped chassis number as well. Corrected later.

According to barchetta.cc 07207 was rebodied in alloy.

Pictured here in Padova in 2010.

The 275 GTB is the poor man's 250 GTO.
(and much more beautiful.......but that's another discussion).

More like the 275 GTB is the not so very rich man's 250 GTO. ;)

I'd say 06885 is the equally rich man's 250 GTO

And I'd take an SWB or an early (open headlight) TdF before either.

Having never driven any of the four cars in question can you elaborate? I would have assumed that the 275 comp car or GTO would be far superior to the TDF for sure and a step or two above the SWB. I would be respectfully interested in hearing the rationale.
