I wouldn't call it a 'problem'. We all know that turbos have not helped much in the sound category. Having said that, they add so much more in other areas. So it depends on your preferences.

Isn't that what they are? :rolleyes:o_O:eek::D:cool: That's safe to say in this company right LOL.

    Ducks n covers.

It's a joke.. don't all of you P car fans get all excited. I "had" one at one point so I can say that.. after all it did sound like a clanky VW.

    :p

Man that F8 pulls like I've never experienced. I'm a huge NA fan, but I can definitely see myself enjoying both. My dream scenario: Keep 458 S for ever and use in occasional drives, and make the F8 coupe the DD.

Sorry this is off topic so will stick to 355 vs GT3...

I haven't driven the 488/F8, but I did hear it pulls crazy. We had a California 30 and then the California T was amazing how much more it pulled, I preferred the 30 though.

When a good friend of mine took a ride in my first 993 he said exactly that. "reminds me of an old VW!" :p

Well, it's been 10 months since this thread and I am finally a GT3 owner. Counting my blessings I didn't have to give up my F355.

Only picked it up today so I will need some time to get acquainted with the driving experience but it definitely isn't a replacement for the 355. It's also not daily use friendly either. Feels exactly what I didn't expect it to feel like, a tuner car with usability considerations built in. I do like that since I am into tuner cars too.

It's a 991.2 PDK so first thing I did when I got a chance was try the launch control. Oh dear god it was good.

    Congratulations!

I also have them both. Completely different driving experience, which is the point. In both cases manual trans.

great that you got the bucket seat too!

Yep I love Sapphire Blue too! There really wasn't much choice and I've been searching since 6 months ago for the right one. The monochrome whites, blacks, greys, dominate the listings and I jumped on this one when it came up for sale. It's really well optioned which was a nice bonus.

Thanks, I missed out on a PTS green manual and was bitterly disappointed. Initial impression I do wish I had a 3rd pedal for the extra control since PDK definitely isn't a real auto, I find myself driving it with mechanical sympathy as I can feel it slip and disengage the clutch in start stop.

PDK is so amazing anyways, and better option for the track (if you're thinking of tracking it).
