Now that it is on the schedule, let's see how long it is before they start selling tickets, since that is just over 7 months away. As a former resident, and living within driving distance, it is very tempting.

Thanks for starting this thread. I’m interested in knowing if there will be a Ferrari gathering/hospitality area during the F1 weekend. Will be nice to have an F1 within driving distance.

If they do, I just hope they don't charge an arm and a leg for admittance. I may own a 328, but I'm the pauper among Atlanta area Ferrari owners!

  4. I don't even own a Ferrari but the outrageous prices for F1 turn me off just because......

I can watch on TV, and I live right here.

I’m with you! I consider myself to be on the poor end of Ferrari owners. But hoping for reasonably priced tickets in a Ferrari area. We had tickets to Monza last year in the Ferrari stand but unfortunately that never happened.

I think ticket prices are not going to be any different from any other F-1 race. the fees paid to F-1 are still pretty steep... so the promoter only makes money via tickets.

Yeah but then you wouldn't be able to sit in the nice hot, humid Miami weather!

  8. I know, I know..... Whatever shall I do?

Getting pneumonia from the first Miami GP (IMSA, '83) was enough dealing with inclement weather whilst race watching, thank you very much. :)

Getting emails now about advanced ticket sales on 10/27. They have not really posted the circuit yet so I have no idea what seats to even buy.
I might sit this first year out and just stick with old tried and true Montreal. Well organized and always a great time too.
If anyone gets more info, please post
    Thanks

My good friend's son, who is an exec in the Miami Dolphins front office, has this rendering as his laptop screensaver. I reckon a seat in the grandstand pictured would be a good bet as one has a great view of a long straight and 3 corners with passing possibilities. Hope this helps.

Considering that Mothers Automotive Products sponsors the TV broadcast, what other day would be more appropriate?

    Look at it this way::

What better gift could a loving husband give his darling wife than a day without his presence !!!

    Simpler for meself.....to heck with seats.....if I can't walk a road course during a race, I don't go. ;)

Any seat at an oval is fine, as long as it's high enuff to see the whole thang......

I loved the idea for a Miami GP...just disappointed with their final location.

That makes it tough on street circuits. I went to Long Beach in '79 and reached the conclusion that if you didn't have a grandstand seat or were on a balcony in one of the adjacent buildings, you saw virtually nothing. A "General Admission" ticket there was wasted money. Detroit in 1987 was only slightly better.

Montreal used to be fine but by the last time I went (2010) all the good old viewing areas were now either off-limits or occupied by T.V. cameras or hospitality suites. I used to take a lot of photos roaming around the track on Saturday, but in 2010 I had to take every one of my photos from my grandstand seat. In the Gen Adm areas you had to look through two fences and just saw glimpses of cars screaming by. Again, IMO, wasted money.

got my tickets today, 840$ a piece was the cheapest option available but I took the plunge! They're already on Stubhub for 1200$!

Understood. In those cases, I don't go. I see no sense in going to a race where I can't walk the course and get different vantage points.
At road courses (exception Daytona), I won't sit in one spot and watch the same sheet over and over again (ovals, where you can see the whole track, I get it), that's all. Better to watch on TV or stream or whatever. ;)
