I'm curious what other V12 fchatters think about the future of the V12 line. Would you rather have it be turbo or hybrid? I feel like for the more glorious sound a hybrid would be a better fit. I know some people don't mind turbo sounds though. I feel like most would prefer completely unassisted NA V12, but that likely won't be an option for much longer, if not already.

If I had to pick today, my preference would be for hybridization rather than turbos. Battle! I mean, discuss.

hybrid + NA V12 will still sound like an NA V12 (aka LaFerrari)

Hybrid would make a lot of sense IMO. lower emissions so easier to homologate, retain the immediacy and noise of the V12, fill the torque gap at the bottom thanks to the electric motors, 4WD without having to have a transfer case... Only real drawback is the weight. But I'd take that over a turbo for sure.

Chalk me up for Neither...but no poll option for that...

Apparently only the back catalog will do as the tide turns

I would prefer neither as well. But if neither was an option, the other 2 options would be unnecessary :D

Gun to my head i’d go hybrid like the LaF otherwise I’m good with NA V12. My old school F12 has more HP than I’ll ever need. Smiles per gallon are more important to me than quarter mile and 0-60 times. I could buy a Tesla Plaid right now like all of you could but that car, as insane as the acceleration is, just doesn’t get my pants tight. Sounds like an electric leaf blower. No sense of occasion driving it.

If we must choose, than I would choose the NA V12+hybrid.

You need to add "neither" as an option to this poll.

Or a Doesn't Matter. At 68 decibels by 2026, just throw whatever soundtrack you want on your speakers.

As noted above, it would be the only thing people choose. This is a poll of the lesser of 2 evils

If it's good enough for the LaF, it's good enough for me.

The best Ferrari so far has been the LaFerrari. Hybrid N/A it is then!

I would like the NA sound of a hybrid, but prefer the more tried and true technology of a turbo. I have just about zero faith in Ferrari’s ability to produce reliable electric/battery technology. I don’t want my car for 6-18 months, I want it for years, and not as a garage ornament either.

The batteries are manufactured by electronics companies (as most batteries are) and LaFerraris have been running for 8 years now. Some needed a battery replacement, but ICE also need replacement sometimes.

Not so much the actual battery but all the systems managing the hybrid power.
LaFerraris are very very low mileage cars.
The real tests will be to see how SF90 and 296GTBs perform over time.
I trust the Germans for this technology better right now.

The difference is the hybrid pack on the LaF is almost 6 figures. Not like getting a new Interstate battery.

I wouldn't trust the Germans to win a single WW... The Japanese on the other hand; I would trust them regarding the electronics.
