458 JBL Speakers

I believe there’s a diagram in the owner’s manual that shows the speaker locations.

 

I’ve been told it’s not much of an improvement from those that have it

That’s on the 488, which is a whole different system.

For the 458, with premium audio, it basically sounds like music is coming out if laptop speakers. Base system is even worse. That’s good news Ferrari corrected this on the 488, but the 458 premium audio system is a giant lump of coal.

It is best to get the base audio and not premium audio on the 458, because it is far easier to upgrade the audio with a Scuderia system from a base system than with the premium system.

does anyone have a diagram of where the speakers are located in a 458 Italia with the Hi Fi/ JBL option? the diagram on Scuderia parts is hard to see. there are supposed to be 2 tweeters and a center channel somewhere in the dash? I can see the 4 Planar speaker behind the seats under the rear window, but there are supposed to be 2 mid drivers on the B pillar on each side but all i see is leather so how can there be 2 speakers on each side near the headrests when this area is covered in leather? thanks in advance!
