I stumbled upon the Top Marques brand of cars. Really like the 275 GTB in Silver that’s on pre-order. Any thoughts on this and the Red “limited release”? Looking to buy my first large scale car. Thanks

The overall shape of the car looks great and there paint finish is excellent. My issue with the photos of the pre production models is the wheels. They look completely the wrong size. I'd wait and see production versions before ordering.

They are making these for people who don't want to, or can't build a kit, and also for those who collect low priced 1:12 built models. There's definitely a market.

GP Replicas/Top Marque will do the Ferrari 312T2 in 1/12th. They are also reissuing several of the old Ferrari models. I see the 275GTB/4 and P4 so far.

Thought I'd ask the question here. I'm in need of several parts for 1/12 Scale Taimya models. We recently moved and some of the models I had in storage from my dad - have parts missing.... like to restore them. any good sources? or wrecked / broken models will work too..

need rear wing for Jackie Stewart Tyrrell
need front nose and wing for Renault
need struts and wings for Lotus 49 - gold leaf version.

not sure what happened to these parts on the originals.. but if anyone has this or a lead - would be most appreciated.

my only other thing is to scratch build... ugg...

I did notice they did alot of reworks on this model. It does look much better I agree. I hope they start producing more new 1/12th scale models again as they seem to have moved into mainly 1/18th and 1/43rd production.

Spirot, try ebay as some people sell Tamiya F1 1/12th kit parts. No one wants to break up and sell off parts from their kits normally.

Apologies if this is a dumb question, but where is this available? The blue 550 on their website is marked "sold out" https://www.tmcollectibles.com/en/ferrari-550-maranello-575. Thanks.

Try ebay, but the prices are very high sometimes so be careful. Several retailers have their own websites.

yep, been there... have a couple things coming... as things happen if someone has a model or kit that suffers a devastating fall... let me know ... in stead of throwing away!

I received my Top Marques 550 Maranello in blue to match my TDF blue 1:1. Seeing it in person, they did a good job with the body shape. The paint quality is fantastic and has the metallic qualities of the real thing in sunlight. The interior also looks amazingly detailed.

Things they didn't quite get right:
    • The windshield has a green band running across the top which doesn't look like any of the 550's I've seen in person.
    • The rear tires are too narrow but not really easily visible so not a big deal.
Humorous detail is the suspension red error light is on in the dash of the model!

Overall an impressive model that I'm glad I preordered.

Good to hear. If you can, please post a few pics of your model. I've only seen the pre-order pics online. Thanks.

Thanks for posting the pictures. That does look pretty good. The green band is quite odd though. I wonder why they decided to put it on when it must take extra effort and would surely look better without it?

Is the steering wheel partly black and partly silver or is that just the light?
