    The bypass valve hose connects to a nipple on the aluminum vacuum pipe that runs along the perpendicular subframe that is lower, and forward, of the bypass valve. The stock BP valve is opened by vacuum, so if it's disconnected, it will sit closed. Do a search for a vacuum diagram, it's been posted before.
