GTO 64 - Book by Doug Nye

Thought I would post a pix of my copy that arrived the other day. It is No. 99/100 of the leather addition. Very nicely done.
I would suggest the first thing to read in this book would be the acknowledgment page at the end. Wow, talk about the who’s who of these cars, very remarkable to have been able to have all that knowledge to work with.
Oh and lastly a thank you to Doug for taking the time to sign no. 99, I had requested that number but apparently only the first 50 had been done at this point, so Watermark had to send that page to you to fill my request.

I think the numbered card is supposed to be loose in the box, but if you buy from Hortons (as I did) they told me that they put it inside the book and shrink wrap it for safekeeping.

 

The card was attached to the page shown. I’m not sure what you mean by box, it couldn’t be attached the slip cover because one its leather and two it would get ruined quickly

 

To avoid any confusion, I was referring to the standard version of the book (not the leather edition) and by 'box' I meant the packaging that the book arrives in. Anyway, it doesn't really matter where it is placed as long as it is included with the book.

 

Yesterday I bought #227 from Chaters as I was in the area.

Seems the advantage of buying your book early is the nice low number you'll receive going by all those already on the list.

I ordered two books from Bookdepository a few years ago. One turned up damaged, the other one I'm still waiting to arrive years later.

Personally I would never order from them again.

Having said that I'm sure yours will arrive shortly.

 

A few years ago I had some negative experience with these guys.
