    I don't think they mentioned the serial number, but it's not that common to see a more in depth video of a 250 Cab. Usually they get lots of things wrong in these Jay Leno videos but it's nice to see the car driving around.

    Curious as to the chassis, and also if that is the correct color for this car. It's a good looking color, just wondering if period correct...

    Cool car and would love to know the chassis # to know if this was one of the factory side vent cars. Watching the video, they imply that operation of the top is fairly complicated. It took a while to figure it out the first time, but once you get used to it it's really not that bad. Here are a couple of videos I did showing how to lower and raise the top. Hopefully some will find it useful in the future!

    Profile shot at 1:08.........the car is no doubt beautiful and I love the video, however is the front bumper angled up; should it be angled down? It's just an observation, not a complaint.

    and the paint looks like it has large metal flakes compared to original.

    Supposedly there were a few cars with special trim including some kind of fender vent (I guess they are all technically different from one another).

    Never seen a PF S2 cabriolet with GTE fender vents originally.
    Special one like 1817GT had fender vents like 410 SA....

    That's a different type of car, a Series 1 250 GT PF Cabriolet, #0849 GT.

    Fender vents on 1891 GT were installed by coachbuilder Pinin Farina in Torino, not by the Ferrari factory in Maranello. Just to make that little detail very clear. All good!
    Great car, 1891 GT was born in Havana Metallizzato (Beige MM 16536 Fiat).

    Yes, correct, the coach-builder not the factory, I was just grouping them all in one. Here is the car in its original color Havana, I believe the only series II painted this Fiat color.

    Pix were taken around 2006 on Tom Shaughnessy's private mountain/hill in SoCal.
    Before that 1891 GT was in Kansas for 40 years.
