It's in German but if you use translate you can understand it. Not a very positive review. Doors make it difficult to park in a car park Too much plastic and CF replacements parts are too expensive No emotion at all driving around town More of a GT than a true sports car. Too much turbo noise It's about 100,000 Euros overpriced for the market Its not all negative but a few things do stick out.
Sorry, but this "test" is completely BS... I drove a new Ferrari ROMA last week and ...it got me zero emotions! To get the emotions, you have to drive it fast - what he did not! As of the price, the new Ferrari V6 comes for more $$$$$s...
The Roma is a GT. You would expect that from the Roma. That's exactly his point. 11,000 Euros for Carbon brakes? His point is all the others in this category include it standard. 11,000 Euro does sound like quite a lot in today's world. I tend to agree with him. At $150,000 to start this would be a great price. At $250,000 its difficult to justify.
This is a car reporter who does not understand anything about vehicles !!!! Who does a test for a sports car in the city? In the video uploaded by Novitech, you can see that the vehicle is not a GT at all
Maserati keeps Fking things up. Hello? Alfieri???? I would have bought that.... never came out! I fear this car may be like the newer NSX. Lots of hype for too long, then people said "meh"... LOTS of cars in the 200+K range. Especially from companies that have not been on life support for a long time... and I'm a Maserati fan!
My dealer said he'd update me on my order at the first of each month. I heard nothing this month so emailed him yesterday. Crickets so far. Hard to imagine the rollout and communication being much worse. Maserati is really benefitting from the global shortage of cars and the run up in prices of other new and used cars in the same genre. Absent that I think a material number of buyers would get fed up and bail on the Trident.
So---don't know what you do for a living---but--- I have never emailed somebody when I need an instant response to a priority matter! I CALL. PERIOD. Can't be bothered --- no problem --- Please cancel immediately. One of us more than happy to pick her up!
You may be many wonderful things. But--- You are NO Maserati fan---at least not the way I have cherished the thought/concept for the past 30+ years!
The "reporter" actually has quite a lot of experience with high end cars. I believe he owned a high end car dealership, He was also part of a German TV show which featured both on German TV (RTL) as well as on YouTube. In the video he explains why he can't drive the car on the Autobahn (Maserati doesn't have press cars yet). The 18 MC20's that Maserati delivered to Germany are all customer cars. I don't entirely agree with his comment that the MC20 is 100K too expensive though. Personally I feel the options are way too expensive; the interior/exterior CF packages, the carbon ceramic brakes, the Sonos sound system etc.
Was told about a month ago that Jim Ellis was told his MC20 was being shipped within 1 week. So, maybe?
That's not the model to compare it with. The Bora is the closest realistic one. The MC12 is way out of it's league even it it's now not any slower.
Spotted a bunch of them at COTA on Sunday. They are doing a track event this weekend. Image Unavailable, Please Login
