I respectfully disagree. Bidding top dollar eliminates those who will get connected to the car and become emotionally engaged through the stepping process. (We've all been there) He eliminated competition to hopefully get the car he wants.

I say good for him. Well played.

I would buy the eBay car right now. No concerns what so ever.

Well, see, that's where I'm smarter that all of you. I'm using the $175k for a down payment in a condo in FL which is a lot more fun that a 355 in the middle of a New England winter. :D:p:cool:

Well, I beat you John, I used my 355 money to buy my $2m commercial property, flip one half and pay 25% less than market to own my more desirable side of the street. Next 355 will be free!!!

Just having fun. Everyone is always at a different stage in life. I knew these cars would jump way up and wanted to be in cheap - John cheap, but alas, life changed and the need was greater for dirt than wheels. That is why market is up. So many people have made incredible gains, life slowed down, and wants went up, so prices are climbing. They should continue to climb, if they drop immediately, then we have some major issues….. I still think we will see a global economic change, but not sure how to read it yet.

More smart people on here than me, but I feel like I have a pretty good understanding. Cheers to all. Hopefully I am F car worthy in the future.

    Vids are up.

BAT car has a challenge grill ($1500), front clear lenses ($1000), and Tubi muffler ($1500).

Receipts show stickies done by Ferrari dealer?

Ebay car has stickies done, but probably done by Eugenio.

Both cars have OE headers. Not sure if they have ever been replaced. If original on both cars, at mileage, headers should be done.

It's SOLD! Don't know exact price, but assuming no more that 10% off ask it did better than the F1 B on BAT a week ago.

Don't recall. I go on cargrus and save nice looking 355 and they send me notes if there is a price change or sale. But lately there are just too many to watch. Anything nice is around $100k or more ask. It's getting crazy in the spider world too.

    11,300 Ferrari 355s made
Not a dime a dozen but too many made for this car to be a high priced collectible.

The high price is currently manual coupes for the most part. That number is roughly 6k units. A few hundred less than 993 Turbo units.

I don't know how much of that is the issue. There are more than 68,881 units of 993 made. Look at their price now......
I think it is all the exaggerated youtuber talking about the expense of engine drop....

I don’t think anyone really cares about cost of engine drop these days. $10k is nothing. All the big expenses have been done to most cars by now. I am sure there are a few still needing the works, but very limited. The buyers now are paying $100k plus, we are seeing a lot of $150k transactions…..maintenance does not bother someone willing to spend that. Not in the world I work and live in for these type of cars :)

    This got me thinking...

    https://ferrari355registry.com/

4800 cars in the registry. That's a big enough sample size to get meaningful data. What percentage of cars are in U.S and what are in UK/Europe? Australia, Japan, and U.S are paying relatively high prices for manual coupes. Could it be Europe/UK received a bulk of the 355's? @johnk... says U.S received a majority of the Spiders.

Aren’t gated GTS more rare and don’t they seem to be bringing higher numbers than coupes?
