Curb weight- it all comes down to this. Probably a bit too heavy, so only awesome? I’m guessing 36xx#, wishing for <3500#

I so want a convertible but not being able to see that engine kind of seems like a crime.

Should run a 10.5 quarter mile. No more performance is needed than this will provide.

No kidding. The 458 is the fastest car I've ever driven, and that was plenty fast with a 0-60 of 3.1. The Z06 is faster than that. I haven't even gotten tired of my "slow" F430. I plenty happy with it's speed, sound, and overall performance.

@BJK - Man, that's a pretty bad burn on Amelia if you'd rather listen to Schmee. I think she's pretty cool without being over the top. I'd take her any day than having to watch or listen to Schmee.

This always gets tricky/confusing. People throw out numbers without specifying dry/wet/curb(?)

    This car is sweet!

It is just odd because it sounds almost EXACTLY like a Ferrari. It's uncanny. I remember the prototypes had that F355 shriek and this no longer has that. I suppose that is to be expected at this day in age but still... Now it sounds like a 458 and that isn't bad either but its just strange to hear from a Corvette. Still think its cool though.

Please Chevrolet, put this engine in the Camaro Z/28. I don't care if the hood has to be raised. PLEASE!

Wow, I had high expectations but that blows them away even. 670hp and 2.6s and that sound, carefully crafted to penetrate the cabin as well. Maybe the only car past my gt350R I won’t have to change the exhaust on. Also, The attention to detail and interior trim on a 3LT is just striking, it’s as good as any super car interior I have seen. Yes maybe not infinite customization options like astons Q stuff, but there is enough and all the right materials.

Sign me up for a z07, red mist, exposed carbon wheels, black with red stitch interior maybe partial Adrenaline red accents (not seats, not too much to clash with red mist exterior), and the full interior carbon fiber trim. Some spare tires (will say I’m scared of cup 2 R prices for heavy track use) and some weekends at Grattan and I’m set! Hopefully under $120k for the full carbon loaded z07 with wheels.

only thing I’m disappointed about, although expected, is the carbon rotors/brakes that come with z07 pack. As this will be a track car, I’m gonna have to buy a full set of traditional race rotors and pads or it adds about $1,000 a day in brake costs to a track day presuming pads and rotors are $15k and maybe, maybe last 15 days. Good thing is will certainly be lots of aftermarket options for this for a vette.

Carbon brakes are awesome, I have no idea what you are going on about with $1000 a day or whatever. Rotors are typically good for the life of the car and pads aren't any more expensive. They also offer superior performance.
