Bought 14 tickets today. But man they ain't cheap! 840$ each was the most inexpensive option they had in the Beach Grandstand section N16. The guy on the phone said he had never seen anything like it and he has worked the Super Bowl pre-sale many times. It didn't sound like BS hype either, their system kept crashing, everytime he would look at tickets, they would suddenly dissapear from his screen.... it was crazy! Stubhub already has them available at 1200$.
Our group only had upper club level available, the price was not yet finalized but anywhere from $1800-$2200 for the 3 days. I didn't get them I want to see what's realistically available when it's public. I also heard the same from our club that presales were selling out at a ridiculous rate.
Nah, it’s just Miami being Miami. They love nothing better than a photo op and somewhere new to play VIP. Guaranteed most of the people there don’t know squat about F1 or care. Hopefully they leave some tickets for actual race fans!
I got on their email list months ago and had a slot for pre-sale tickets on Thursday. They just emailed this morning informing me that all tickets are sold and my slot is canceled. Typical Miami. I'll have to count on my connection at the Concours Club or go to Montreal.
Just got back from Austin, it was more crowded than I have ever seen by far, Friday practice day looked like some past race days. They renamed the Velocity Lounge, it was rebranded the "PXG Velocity Lounge" and the entire corner which had the incredible Bloody Mary bar was now a virtual Golf PXG demo area- what a waste. As a result, the drink lines were a mile long. I'm glad I was in the Podium Club- no lines, drinks included. COTA has serious parking issues on race day, but overall a great time. I hope they can land the race for next year as it's finally getting the support it needs.
Interesting. Do you really think it was due to Netflix or is it possible it was up because of the difficulty of traveling overseas to see races? Montreal would be a far, far better experience IMO. You can't even begin to compare a parking lot track in Miami Gardens to Montreal.
pricing I've seen for Miami seems to be 2-3x what similar tickets (or at least, classes of tickets) are for COTA. makes me wonder if we'll see huge price hikes for COTA next year, given the amazing turnout this year.
In the resale market just for Saturday qualifying I'm seeing Turn-18 tickets on stubhub for $700, on top of that the absurdity of fees these ticket brokers charge, comes out to $1,000! 30% of your cost are ticket brokers fees, just on principal alone it's ridiculous. Race day tickets in the same Turn-18 are coming out to over $3,000! As mentioned before, an international first class flight + 3 day tickets to a beautiful circuit would be less.
Lmao!!!! I agree, I can go to Spa for that much. I paid much less than that to go to Monza!!! Hmmmm, Murder Gardens or Spa? Sad thing is they'll get those prices and more. Wanna bet the majority of the people who pay it won't even watch the race?
My contact at COTA tells me the race is on for 2022, Oct. 23. No word on prices yet, frankly if I were COTA I would raise them. I'm thinking Montreal plus Austin beats Miami, I'm a bit of a Francophile so it could be great fun. I'll see how my Concours Club connection in Miami plays out, we are business partners so it may yet work. How about a Florida F-chat takeover of the Podium Club at COTA? I noticed those prices too. Out of principal I do not go to events with absurd ticket prices. I watch ever F1Quali and race and sometimes Friday practice if I can…I have for many years but I won’t pay these prices to go to Miami…forget it…many will so who really cares and Im tending to lose interest lately with all these inflated ticket prices for races
Between the boring cars, price gouging and all the political ******** I’m find myself less interested each year. I’m not paying top dollar to go to the hood in Miami. Lol. Better off going to Interlagos.

My neighbor is working on it. IMO it’s a terrible layout. I guess they did the best they could considering it’s just a giant flat parking lot in the hood. Hopefully we get one of our torrential downpours on race day to keep it interesting and too keep all the social media champagne crowd under cover.
It looks like they took the parking away for the track, where are you going to park tens of thousands of cars??
Calder Casino and probably a couple other places- then bus people in Probably also at the Broward College campus at North Perry Airport
COTA, Monza, Monaco it's not. That said, I had a blast going to the parking lot races in Dallas and Las Vegas back in the day.
I suppose it’s better than nothing but for what tickets are going for I can get on a plane and go to Spa or Monza.
