    I think I had everything off. Not sure if you can reach thenuts that attached to block with the damper in place. Also don’t forget the spacers. The engine moves easily in the bay to adjust the main bolts Image Unavailable, Please Login

    Had to drain gas to fix leaks around fuel filter. Sanded mating surfaces smooth and added some gasoline proof aviation sealant around the two relief bolts. Ran the pump for 30 minutes and looks good so far. Either I read the thread wrong or FISPA also makes a filter housing for the short stubby filter. The 866 is definitely the correct filter for my car.

    So fuel still weeping from the banjo fittings on either side if the filter. Looks like I will need to use some sealant on those too.

    Not sure the part number will help. Compressor did not come with the pulley. GT Car Parts add the gold anodized bits to make it work on a 308.

    Looking good! Don't forget to put some grease on that parking brake assembly. I used the same stuff I use everywhere the redline CV2

    Muffler in. Had to remove bumper (again). Found it easiest to remove the brackets from the muffler, slide them into sprung hangars, insert cotter pin, then attach brackets back onto muffler. Had my son help but having one person on either side of muffler with a third guiding the long pipe into place would have been quicker.

    When I came to paint the oil cooler cover I find the lower seams were split so I had them welded up before I painted. So came to install and found the cover will not fit over the cooler which is probably why someone split those seams [emoji849]

    Did put in new mounts.

    Other issue I had was fitting the engine brace. The center hole in the silentbloc was about 1/4 out from being able to slide in the bolt. I had the firewall bracket powder coated which probably adds a little more thickness and installed new silentblocs in both ends. Seemed as though the 1-4 bank needed to be raised so maybe that is the reason for the engine mount shims shown in the parts book?

    2 of 3 vital fluids in. Coolant filled. Loved the vacuum system. Only had a couple of minor drips - radiator drain tap needed a tweak and one hose clamp not tight enough. Transmission oil done. Engine has been dry 7 years so sprayed MTL over tops of gears to try and lubricate as gear shift still very tight. Setting shifter was fun, not. Verells centering tool would have been helpful. Perfect setting was always slightly less perfect after tightening the adjustor nuts [emoji35]

    Next stop is engine all. Going to try “priming” with manually pumping some oil back through the oil filter fitting. It has been 4 years since engine was put back together with assembly lube. Maybe it lasts that long but don’t want to take any chances. Been a long road to this point.

    Engine oil in. Only minor weep around engine oil drain plug. Battery charged. Connected up for first time with engine in and have direct short. Fortunately I used fused connections to the battery. Need to retrace my wiring assumptions next weekend.

    You leave the pan off and do the final adjustment via the selector fork on the internal end of the shift shaft. The centering tool does not do that good of a job and why most new cars needed adjustment.
