Oooooooo weeeeee! That was one of the best showers I’ve ever had.
Congrats to all of you owners of clean F355's! Close to a quarter million for a car you could get for under $100K just a few years ago. Can't wait for manual 360's to get noticed. ESPECIALLY THE CORRECTLY COLORED YELLOW ONES! Image Unavailable, Please Login Yellow has always been my favorite color for mid engine Italian cars. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Strong money for a '95 in the least desirable color. Gotta figure the superior late 355's will be worth 10-20% more, especially in different colors.
I think 95's will always bring a premium over 96-99 due to the OBD-1. Especially if it's been well maintained and the known issues addressed.
Ironically, the BAT GTS had none of that aside from low ownership. Add another $20k to auction hammer! $260k car .
Why does it have an airbag steering wheel? I thought 95s were non airbag? Sent from my ELE-L29 using Tapatalk
I doubt it. Sample size way too small. However, if a buyer in the U.S is looking specifically for Red/black, his opportunities are very limited. I honestly feel that was the only Red/Black GTS I’ve seen since. He would have to look for Euro spec cars where Red/Black is significantly more abundant. I know the buyer who paid top dollar in Australia for my buddy’s Red/black Berlinetta only wanted one with black interior, so he was desperate to pay the ask. Car was far from clean too.
I looked for 2-3 years for a red/black 355 when I first searched. When I lost the BAT GTS, I gave up. Bought a black/black, which is also pretty rare, thinking I was going to paint the car red someday lol. Perhaps my search was a bit more stringent because I was only after a 95 MY.
95 non airbag, blu swaters/tan interior/red carpets. I will only sell for 400k Image Unavailable, Please Login Sent from my ELE-L29 using Tapatalk
I believe a blue GTS/B will command TOP dollar in the U.S. They will beat out the red ones simply because they are near impossible to find in the market place. You pass up on a blue one and that’s the only color you want? … good luck for the next 2 decades.
I don’t even classify 5 owners as low hahaha. So it would be even more valuable if it was a 2 or 3 owner car. My car the first owner had it for 19 years and me 7. The less hands the car sees generally is better off.
I didn’t check number of owners actually. I just assumed it was around 3. I’m not sure if number of owners is a deciding factor these days with so limited cars to choose from. Condition/mileage is more of a factor. It’s nice to have all boxes checked, but with these cars it’s nearly impossible. People have dm’d me they have passed up on 15k mi cars because the condition (far off) didn’t represent what one would expect of a 15k mi car. Regardless of how many owners. I highly doubt this car would’ve bidded higher today if it was a 2-3 owner example vs 5 owner example. If higher, only by a slight margin. The current BAT auction results as of late indicate number of owners doesn’t seem to affect buyer desire. Older cars are going to pass through more hands and there was at least a 10-15 year stint where people didn’t want 355s. This car barely had stickies shoddily addressed, incorrect center AC vent, and a broken passenger AC vent. Not to mention a cutout engine side panel. Buyers are more concerned about getting the car first it seems. Addressing issues is secondary.
