    Well I certainly never suffered from ‘pretty privilige’ :rolleyes: but I always remember a phone call one day:
    “I’d like to speak to one of the architects please.”
    “I’m an architect, how can I help you?”
    “Oh... but I need to speak to one of the senior architects.”
    “Well I’m one of the directors, will that do?”
    He was a unit builder and ended up becoming a good client!
    On a different track, I had had some very ‘robust’ telephone conversations in negotiating the construction contract for a rural nursing home and when I turned up for the contract signing the bloke looked me up and down and said “You can’t be Karen - I’ve been negotiating with her and she’s 6’ tall and built like a brick outhouse!”
    But those stories are years ago, and I don’t think the younger girls in the office get too much of that these days.
