Reluctantly selling my 1987 TR, great condition, everything attended to and ready for a new owner. I have a folder of receipts dating back to 1987, all recent work receipts (Fast Cars Ltd at Redondo did all the work, and car was purchased from them), original books, toolkit, keys (one original, one a copy) etc.

    • Engine out, major service completed May 2021 (~$20k)
    • Fuse board rebuilt
    • Radiator rebuilt / repaired
    • AC recharged (ice cold)
    • Repaired leaking steering box (when power steering fitted)
    • Various sensors and switches replaced
    • New tires all round - Pirelli P Zero period correct (~$2k)
    • Power steering fitted (~$6k)
    • Installed power window boosters
    • Extended steering wheel column spacer installed.

Only blemishes on the car are the driver's side front lower spoiler has been knocked on a curb, cracking the paint / slightly damaging the spoiler. Driver's seat leather has typical bolster wear / cracking of the leather. There is also a small paint chip on the roof of the car. Photos in the Google Drive detail these blemishes also.

Complete set of photos re here:

    https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1BwmUi9qntPRb_BogT4X_xrGhrHsGzHjO

Car is located in Marina del Rey, CA and currently in the line for BAT, but will sell prior to listing for the right money. Sensible offers considered. Oh an interior carpets will be steamed cleaned / interior details prior to sale (they are a little grubby as seen in the photos).

    $115k or very near offer.

Hey Meister, it is the tow hook hole. Probably looks more prominent as the front spoiler has been color-coded to the body (and not black as per standard).

If I am you: I paint the spoiler+skirt back to black and went for car to be on BAT, you probably will get a bit more.

Yes that is wise advice for sure. Will see how things go and make that call closer to the listing date, assuming the TR doesn’t sell here.

I knew this wouldn't last at this price in this market, with a fresh service.

    Congrats !

Curious I see you had classic car, including the TR, for rent. Is there a demand, does that work? Always wondered

Hey. The TR was never used as a rental. I bought the car to promote my business, The Stable, but the idea of possibly providing our own classic cars to guests never launched - insurances were way to high for a viable business.

At half the price of a gated 355, it's a damned steal!

    And yes, I'm being serious.

I know this car well, very clean and mechanically fully sorted , $140,000 car all day especially with the $30,000 major just done by fast cars.

No, you won't see it on BaT , the car went rite into a collection and probably won't resurface anytime soon. That car was phenomenal..
